Abstract: An electronic commerce system for new items constituted by seller terminals, buyer terminals, an intermediary organ, settlement organ terminals, transport organ terminals, and a two-way communication network for connecting these terminals with the intermediary organ, wherein the intermediary organ is provided with an item information DB for storing item information about new items which have not yet been on the market, a seller information DB for storing information about sellers registered in the intermediary organ, a purchase information DB for storing purchase reservation information and purchase confirmation information from the buyer terminals, an order information DB for storing order reservation information and order confirmation information from the seller terminals, a settlement organ DB for storing information about settlement organs registered in the intermediary organ, a transport organ DB for storing information about transport organs registered in the intermediary organ, a settlement terms stora
