Patents Assigned to Kahle Engineering Co.
  • Patent number: 4521237
Abstract: A disposable, single-use, medication charged syringe is described wherein the syringe body is formed with a tubular glass barrel having a steel needle mounted on the barrel by means of a tubular glass bead. The beading and barrel are initially made from common stock of right circular hollow cylindrical tubes. The syringe body is formed by a number of steps including a barrel flaring operation and a needle attaching operation in which the needle is first sealed to the glass tubular bead before the glass bead is sealed to the glass barrel. Identification of the syringe and the particular unit dose therein is provided by a flared colored plastic gripping sleeve which is slipped over the glass barrel.

  • Patent number: 4100667
Abstract: An improved method and machine are described for automatically loading a scroll of interwound photographic film and backing paper into a film cartridge. The cartridges are opened for scroll insertion by an initial relative movement of the cartridge halves in one direction and by a further separating movement in a differing direction. The machine has a rotatably mounted turret supporting a number of separate loading heads each of which supports a film cartridge and performs a two direction cartridge opening and closing action. The turret carries the heads through a series of stations where successive head loading, cartridge opening, scroll insertion, scroll to spool attaching, cartridge sealing, torque testing and winding, marking, and head unloading operations are performed. The heads and stations are controlled in their operation by a combination of direct cam control and multi-channel programable logic system control.

  • Patent number: 3991927
Abstract: An automatic machine is described for completing a metal frame such as a bicycle frame by brazing the principal portions of the frame together. The machine comprises a large rotatably mounted turret which is stepped about a vertical axis. A number of brazing fixtures are mounted on the edge of the turret so that they are carried by the turret to a number of work stations. Operators at adjacent stations load several metal frame parts onto clamps on the fixtures. Spaced work stations positioned beyond the loading stations next successively and automatically apply brazing flux to the frame portions and braze the frame parts together. The brazed frames are finally carried by the turret to a cooling station and then to a final unloading station.
