  • Patent number: 9623283
Abstract: An massage device, includes a hollow cylindrical foam roller, two end plates fixable at the opposite ends of the roller, the inner envelope of the roller and the end plates essentially defining a cavity, and each of the end plates further including centrally situated bearing arrangement, two supporting feet each having a first and a second support, the first and the second support of the supporting feet are alignable at the end plates to set the supports at an angle relative to each other, and each of the supporting feet being fixable at the end plates of the roller by a fastening arrangement so that the supporting feet are at least functionally connected to the bearing arrangements of the associated end plates and the roller is rotatably fixed to the supporting feet, and the supporting feet may be stored inside the cavity.

  • Patent number: 4605900
Abstract: An electrode system for voltametric measurements for measuring oxidative and reductive compounds in aqueous solutions primarily in the paper and pulp industries, said system comprising a working electrode (1), a counter-electrode (2) and a reference electrode (3), these being connected to a voltametric measuring apparatus (4). The aim is to introduce an electrode system mountable in the process pipeline with greater ease than electrodes of prior art and of a construction simpler than earlier systems, and more durable and less maintenance-requiring than these. As taught by the invention, the reference electrode (3) is a metal electrode and has been made for instance of silver, platinum, gold, titanium or "Hastalloy C" steel. The electrodes are advantageously installed together and in one and the same pick-up and disposed to be so placed in the process pipe system that the solution flowing in the pipe system flushes the electrodes.

  • Patent number: 4516732
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and apparatus for comminuting stumps. The apparatus includes a generally cylindrical stationary drum having a feed opening in the upper portion through which stumps are fed to the drum. A rotatable substantially horizontal bottom encloses the lower end of the drum and is disposed to rotate about a vertical axis so that the stumps are forced to the outer periphery of the drum under centrifugal force and revolve along with the bottom. An abutment or counter member extending upwardly from the bottom and the stumps are braced against the countermember as they are moved into engagement with a generally cured vertically disposed blade that is spaced inwardly of the drum. The blade acts to comminute the stump and the chips or particles are discharged from the drum through a discharge opening which is disposed radially outward of the blade.

  • Patent number: 4498338
Abstract: A procedure and an apparatus for continuously measuring the coal content of quick ash, ash being fed through a measuring chamber (1), through between measuring capacitor plates (2), the change of capacitance caused by the coal being measured, and a measuring signal being formed which characterizes the coal content of the ash.

  • Patent number: 3983378
Abstract: Taxi vehicle fare measuring apparatus where impulses proportional to a waiting time and/or distance are supplied to a binary multiplier whose multiplication factor is selected by the driver at the time the taxi is hired. Several banks of binary switches are provided to calibrate the meter after its installation in accordance with a corresponding number of different established fare rate schedules. The preadjustment of the binary switches allows for accurate calibration of the meter taking into consideration such factors as speedometer gear ratios and tire wear, and the number of banks of binary switches allow for rate schedules to take in such variable factors as number of passengers, waiting time, or special fare rates for various geographical locations or time of day. The output pulses from the multiplier are supplied to a binary counter which controls an indicating device for producing a display of the fare.
