Abstract: Disclosed are a 3D scanning apparatus and a 3D scanning method. The 3D scanning apparatus includes a projector projecting patterns previously set onto a subject that is to be 3D scanned, a photographing unit photographing each of the patterns projected onto the subject at each of exposure levels previously set, a calculating unit calculating a depth value for each pixel of the subject based on the patterns photographed at each of the exposure levels, and a scanning unit 3D scanning the subject, which is photographed, based on the calculated depth value. The calculating unit calculates the depth value for each pixel of the subject by calculating the depth value for each pixel of the subject at each of the exposure levels and combining the depth values for the pixel, which are calculated at each of the exposure levels.
Abstract: Disclosed is a portable 3-dimensional (3D) document scanning device and method. The portable 3D document scanning device includes a projector projecting light of a predetermined pattern onto a document, a 3D scanning camera capturing a pattern of the light projected onto the document and the document, and a control unit estimating a size of the captured document based on image data of the captured document, estimating a shape of the captured document based on the pattern of the projected light and the captured pattern of the light, and correcting the image data of the captured document based on the estimated size and the estimated shape.
Abstract: A three-dimensional scanner calibration system comprises: a three-dimensional coordinate providing means; a moving means for moving the three-dimensional coordinate providing means; and a control unit, wherein the control unit extracts three-dimensional coordinates at which the moved three-dimensional coordinate providing means is located and measures a relationship between each pixels of a camera and the three-dimensional coordinate providing means at the location of the three-dimensional coordinate providing means.
