Abstract: An ultrasonic scanning instrument uses a probe formed by arranging a plurality of oscillator pieces aligned on a flexible base plate. The oscillator pieces each transmit ultrasonic waves into a target body and receive reflected waves. Sensors are attached to the flexible base plate to detect degrees of flexure of the base plate. The flexible base plate becomes curved according to the curved contact surface of the target body and its degree of flexure measured by the sensors is incorporated into a sectional view displayed on a display device.

Abstract: A television doorphone apparatus in which an image of a quest is picked-up by a television camera provided on an outer wall of an entrance of a house, an image signal generated by the television camera and representing a whole image is processed to generate an enlarged image including the head of the guest, and the enlarged image is displayed on a monitor screen. In order to produce the enlarged image, at first a top center of the head of the guest is detected by comparing a relevant detection image with a previous detection image, the detecting image being constructed by smaller number of pixels than the image signal. Then, a start address of the enlarged image having a smaller size than the whole image is derived from the detected top center position of the head of the guest. Next, the pixel data of the enlarged image is extracted from the image signal, and finally the extracted enlarged pixel data is interpolated.

Abstract: An extension telephone system in which a main equipment and each of a plurality of key telephone sets are connected together through paired information conductors and paired control conductors. The key telephone system can perform various functions such as answering to an incoming call from a single central office line, holding of the single central office line, transferring the incoming call from the single central office line from one key telephone set to another key telephone set, keeping the central office line in secrecy, incoming call indication, line busy indication, line holding indication and individual paging with electronic sound or voice by variation and polarity reversal of a DC voltage applied between the paired control conductors by the main equipment and utilization of the information conductors for a central office line communication, internal communication and individual paging control.

Abstract: A channel-selecting apparatus for a multichannel transceiver designed to select, upon channel selection, a transmission-reception signal frequency specified for a given channel from among those of all the channels utilizing a phase locked loop system. The apparatus is provided with a channel changeover switch operated to give forth an electric pulse signal, each time one channel is shifted. Electric pulse signals generated upon operation of the switch as many times as the specified channel number being selected are counted by a counter, and then designate that of the matrix-arranged memory addresses of a read-only memory which represents the specified channel number in accordance with the counted number of electric pulse signals.
