The method and system include adjusting ordering of a plurality of transmission units in a queue to be transmitted in a wireless discontinuous channel to reduce unusable channel access time; determining transmission eligibility of each of the transmission units in the queue; and servicing the queue by transmitting the transmission units responsive to the adjusted order.
