Abstract: A remote temperature monitoring apparatus includes a base-located energizing wave transmission/communication wave reception unit (e.g. located on a cooking stove) and a remotely-located, energizing-wave-powered, temperature-dependent communication wave emission unit (e. g. located on a cooking vessel). The base-located energizing wave transmission/communication wave reception unit transmits a series of probing energizing waves and receives temperature-dependent resonant communication wave emissions.
