Abstract: An implant for partially replacing surfaces that are subject to stresses includes a base that is inserted into an area removed from a bone. The base includes at least one surface for replacing the removed area of the bone and an adapter for receiving the base. The system for inserting the implant includes an angle determining system that includes a set of elliptical plates having different diameters to determine the cutting angle of the implant to be utilized to replace the surface of the bone. The system also includes an oscillating drill with hollow drills that have beveled tips.
