Abstract: A video endoscope has an endoscope part having a central image signal conductor, at least one optical waveguide, and a light supplying part which can be coupled to a proximal end of said endoscope part. The light supplying part has a central image signal conductor connection at a distal end thereof, and a light supply arranged coaxially around said central image signal conductor connection. The light supply has a plurality of light-emitting elements, each of said light-emitting elements can be supplied by means of a switchable semiconductor light source. Position sensors are arranged in an area of said light-emitting elements, and position indicators are arranged in an area of said optical waveguide. A position of said position indicators can be detected by said position sensors when said endoscope part and said light supplying part are coupled. Based on a detection of said position indicator, at least those light-emitting elements lying opposite to said optical waveguide are activated.
Abstract: A medical instrument serves for creating an access for a minimally invasive intervention and has a body having a longitudinal axis. The body is assembled of at least two parts, each of said parts having edges extending along a direction of said axis. Each of said parts having edges extending along a direction of said axis. Each part has a distal section merging into a proximal section standing outwardly from said longitudinal axis. In a first position, the distal end section of the parts are joined along said edges to form a distal body with the proximal section standing away. In a second position, the proximal sections of said parts are joined along said edges to form a hollow proximal body with said distal end section spreaded outwardly. The edges are provided with interacting features which are designed to block a lateral sliding of said joined parts transversely to said edges.
Abstract: A medical instrument comprises a shaft which is connected at the proximal end to a handle, and it also comprises an insert which is guided along the shaft and which is connected at the proximal end to a movable grip part of the handle. At its distal end, the insert has a tool which can be actuated by pivoting of the grip part. A lock is also provided which can be brought into locking engagement with the movable grip part. To cancel the lock function, a detent is provided which can be brought between lock and movable grip part, such that the lock function can be cancelled by the detent.

Abstract: A medical instrument comprises a shaft, a handle connected to said shaft and having a movable gripping part. An insert is guided along said shaft and connected to said movable part at its proximal end. A tool is provided at a distal end of said insert. A lock is provided for locking said movable grip part in a position. A detent is provided for releasing said locking of said lock. A rotatable stopping member is arranged on said movable grip part. A rotational plane of said rotatable stopping member lying across a longitudinal axis of a movement direction of said movable grip part. Said rotatable stopping member can be rotated between a first position not influencing said locking function of said lock and a second position keeping said lock permanently away from said locking engagement.
Abstract: An endoscope comprises a shaft with an outer tube and with an inner tube extending inside the latter, the outer and inner tubes being radially spaced apart from one another such that they form between them an axially extending channel, which provides space for receiving a light guide. An intermediate tube having flexural strength is arranged between the outer tube and the inner tube, which intermediate tube at least partially surrounds the inner tube.

Abstract: A device (10) is used for moving a thread of a surgical sewing instrument (60). The device comprises a clamp (18) for detachably clipping said device (10) on the surgical sewing instrument (60). The device has an arm (24) having a first end connected to said clamp (18). A freely rotatable roller (50) being arranged at a second end of said arm (24), said roller (50) resting on the thread of the surgical instrument (60) having clipped on the device (10).
Abstract: One or more embodiments of a flexible manipulator tools are provided. The flexible manipulator tool can include a distal end movable in at least one manipulation plane with respect to a proximal end. The flexible manipulator tool can also include at least two cheeks extending side by side to and spaced apart from each other.
Abstract: A partial aiming device for targeting an arthroscopic operation site for a medical intervention has a circularly arcuate element and with a first, radially extending aiming rod which can be moved along the circularly arcuate element. It is proposed that on the circularly arcuate element there is a connecting device by means of which a medical instrument with a shaft can be connected to the partial aiming device in such a way that the shaft is orientated as a second aiming rod that extends radially towards the first aiming rod.
