Publication number: 20240127560Abstract: The invention relates generally to a system and methods by which physical and digital objects co-exist and can be interacted with in real time. More specifically, the system may facilitate outputting interactive content associated with one or more components of a rubber finishing line, such as a baler machine. The system may include a wearable device—such as a hat or helmet—having a plurality of sensors for receiving spatial telemetry data. Based on the data received, the system may identify one or more physical objects and generate content including one or more virtual objects that may be output to a user via a display of the wearable device. Advantageously, the system may facilitate training a user to operate a component of the rubber finishing line or assisting a user with maintaining or repairing a component of the rubber finishing line.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 13, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: Karltex Machine, Inc.Inventors: Sig Fragstein, Donnie L. Patent number: 11020924Abstract: Improved balers may include a traveling chute that may reduce wear and tear and maintenance, and/or improve efficiency by reducing downtime. The traveling chute may include moving guides that include channels that engage tongues of stationary guide rails disposed on a baler. For example, the channels may be substantially rectangular channels that run the length of the moving guide. Similarly, the stationary guides may include substantially rectangular tongues and the moving guides may slide across the tongues and upper surfaces of the stationary guides as the traveling chute moves between various positions. The moving guides may include polyoxymethylene inserts in which the channels may be provided. The moving guides and stationary guides may be provided as a kit for attachment to various baling apparatuses. Additional features and components also are described.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2019Date of Patent: June 1, 2021Assignee: Karltex Machine, Inc.Inventors: Sig Fragstein, Donnie L. Patent number: 10343362Abstract: Improved bales may be formed using methods that include using baling equipment with an air blasting crumb chute that may reduce wear and tear and maintenance, and/or improve efficiency by reducing material waste, imperfections, and/or contamination. The crumb chute may include an air inlet and a plurality of apertures in fluid communication with the air inlet. Air may be provided through the apertures to prevent crumbles from accumulating on the baling assembly as they fall through the chute to the press chamber and/or to blast already accumulated residual crumbles from components of the baling assembly, such as a traveling chute, and into the press chamber. The crumb chute may include a polyoxymethylene insert in which the air inlet and apertures are provided. The crumb chute may be provided as a kit for attachment to various baling apparatuses. Additional features and components also are described.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2018Date of Patent: July 9, 2019Assignee: Karltex Machine, Inc.Inventors: Sig Fragstein, Donnie L. Patent number: 6256969Abstract: A machine wraps packages such as bales of crumb rubber, or other containers of goods, into a protective synthetic resin film bag or cover. The machine is provided with a set of movable jaws each having a heat-sealing frame assembly having improved heat transfer characteristics. The heat-sealing frame assembly is composed of heat sealing units which have enhanced heat distribution and reduced cold spot or no-seal areas, and also reduced hot spot burn-through. Heat transfer from the heat sealing elements to the remaining portions of the baling assembly is also reduced.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 1999Date of Patent: July 10, 2001Assignee: Karltex Machine, Inc.Inventor: Karl H. Patent number: 5870951Abstract: A improved service life baler press assembly including a number of novel press chamber and ram assembly components formed of a relatively hard material, such as a thermoplastic polymer (e.g., acetal resins) or any other suitable material having low static and dynamic coefficients of friction. Press chamber components according to the invention include press wall liners coupled to the press chamber walls. The press wall liners are manufactured of the thermoplastic polymer, and are disposed between the press walls and a ram head during periods of compression. The low static and dynamic coefficients of friction of the thermoplastic polymer material allow the ram head to move inside of the press chamber without damaging the walls of the press chamber. In addition, one embodiment of the present invention includes a ram head cover also composed of a thermoplastic polymer or other suitable material. The ram head cover reduces wear damage to the press wall liners.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 1997Date of Patent: February 16, 1999Assignee: Karltex Machine Inc.Inventor: Karl H. Fragstein
