Abstract: A device stops and retains a clamp on a wire. The device is mounted above a surface, which is preferably a deck of a vessel. The device comprises a fork that can engage with the clamp. The fork has a pair of teeth defining an opening therebetween, and the opening has a bottom. The fork has a first effective locking height defined between the bottom and the surface and height intended for retaining a wire lying within a first size range. The fork also has a second effective locking height defined above the surface and intended for retaining a wire lying within a second size range which is smaller than said first size range. The second locking height is greater than the first locking height, relative to the surface. The fork includes at least one guide member for mounting and securing an insert, preferably U-shaped, in the opening between the fork teeth, said insert having a bottom defining said second locking height. Optionally, the fork teeth have holes through which a locking bolt can be inserted.
Abstract: A device involving locking members (4, 5), so-called "flaps", for tow pins on a vessel, e.g., a tugboat, particularly for use with tow lines, towing wire, chains, or the like, where the tow pins are positioned in pairs at the stern of the vessel, optionally capable of being raised and lowered, for guiding the tow line or similar equipment therebetween, where each tow pin in a pair is provided to the top thereof with a respective projecting locking member (4, 5), and where each tow pin (1, 2) is pivotable to permit the locking members (4, 5) to be brought by rotation into locking position by covering the opening between the upper ends of the pins, thereby limiting the vertical movement of the tow line or similar equipment positioned between the tow pins. Each locking member (4, 5) in vertical section and in a transverse direction outward from its respective tow pin (1, 2) has approximately a U-shape.
Abstract: A device for a curved conductor pipe for a pull wire wherein the conductor pipe is provided along the inside thereof with a lining which has a material yield point that is higher than the compressive force that operates between the lining and the pull wire. The lining is equipped with a guide seat for the pull wire in order to distribute the compressive force from the pull wire over the lining.
