Abstract: A golf club has a first shaft coupled to a club head, a second shaft configured to slidably engage a portion of the first shaft, a grip coupled to the second shaft, and an adjustable length shaft assembly received by the second shaft and configured to allow a portion of the first shaft to slide in relation to the second shaft in a first configuration, and to restrict a portion of the first shaft from sliding in relation to the second shaft in a second configuration. The grip is restricted from rotation about the first shaft or the second shaft as the first shaft slides in relation to the second shaft.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads with apertures and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a golf club head comprises a face portion, a back portion generally opposite the face portion, a heel portion extending between the face portion and the back portion, a toe portion opposite the heel portion and extending between the face portion and the back portion, and a crown portion extending between the face portion, the back portion, the heel portion, and the toe portion, the crown portion comprising a plurality of crown aperture. The crown portion comprises a first region and a second region, wherein the first region is nearer to the face portion than the second region, the first region and the second region are separated by a bell-shaped curve. The bell-shaped curve is located a distance D1 from the face portion and the second region comprises a recess portion. The plurality of crown apertures is defined within the recessed portion.

Abstract: In general, aspects of this invention relate to blade-type iron golf clubs or golf club heads. The blade-type golf club head may comprise a body forged of a metal material. The body may include a hosel, a top surface, a sole, a heel, a toe, a ball striking surface, and a rear surface opposite the ball striking surface. The rear surface may have recess in which a dual-density insert is affixed. The dual-density insert may have a first portion or first insert with a density greater than a second portion or second insert with a lesser density located closer to the toe than the first portion or first insert located closer to the heel. The mass distribution of the dual-density insert moves the center of gravity of the club head closer or substantially coincident to the face center location.
Abstract: The sole cavity ports described herein can have varying thicknesses across the cavity port lengths. In some embodiments, the golf club heads described herein can have a weight insertable into the sole port, wherein the weight can comprise a variable density. Other examples and related methods are also disclosed herein.
Abstract: Golf clubs and/or golf club heads include a club head body defining an interior chamber, structure for engaging a shaft with the body, and/or a shaft engaged with the body. The club head body may have an overall length of at least 4.5 inches and an overall breadth of at least 4.2 inches. In other examples, the club head body may have an overall length of at least 4.6 inches and a ratio of the overall breadth dimension to the overall length dimension of 1 or less. If desired, the ratio of the head breadth to head length dimensions may be in a range from at least 0.94 to 1 or less.
Abstract: Golf club heads with ribs are described herein. A golf club head comprises a first rib protruding from an internal surface of the club head, and a second rib protruding from the internal surface of the club head. The first rib and the second rib can comprise a varying height. The club head further comprises a connecting rib extending between the first rib and the second rib to connect the first rib and the second rib together. The connecting rib can comprise a varying height. In another embodiment, the club head can comprise a first connecting rib and a second connecting rib extending between the first rib and the second rib. The ribs provide structural support and sound control for the club head.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads with energy storage characteristics are presented herein. In some embodiments, a golf club head comprises a hollow body comprising a strikeface, a heel region, a toe region opposite the heel region, a sole, a top rail and an inflection point. The inflection point provides increase bending of the strikeface thereby providing performance enhancement over clubs without an inflection point.

Abstract: A hat includes a first and second overlapping panel in the rear of the body and an elastic band. The overlapping panels each comprise an arcuate edge. When overlapped, the arcuate edges define an aperture. An elastic band attaches to the arcuate edges and transitions from the first arcuate edge to the second arcuate edge in a looping manner. When a wearer pulls her hair through the aperture, the aperture increases in size. Once the wearer's hair is pulled through the aperture, the aperture decreases in size and provides a secure fit around the wearer's hair. The elastic loop supports the long hair upwards in a manner that prevents the hat from riding up or the hair from falling onto a rear brim.

Abstract: A hollow golf club head includes a metallic front body coupled with a composite rear body. The front body includes a strike face and a surrounding frame that extends rearward from a perimeter of the strikeface. The rear body includes a crown member coupled with a sole member. The sole member has a structural layer formed from a filled thermoplastic material, while the resilient layer is bonded to the external surface of the structural layer and is formed from a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material. The resilient layer has an opening through which a metallic weight pad at least partially extends. The weight pad is bonded to the structural layer and includes an aperture for attaching a metallic weight. The golf club head can also have one or more structural members that are upright and connect the weight pad to the crown member.

Abstract: Described herein is a tour iron having a golf club head with a faceplate, a body, and an insert. A sole, top rail, rear, and the faceplate enclose a cavity within the body. The cavity can house the insert. The insert can comprise a low-density material, allowing weight to be concentrated around the peripheral edge of the golf club head. The rear of the golf club head has an inflection seam running from the heel to the toe. The golf club head has an upper portion, above the inflection seam and a lower portion below the inflection seam. The upper portion can have a rear opening. The faceplate, body, and insert can be formed of different materials having different densities. The golf club head has a comparatively high moment of inertia and a low center of gravity. Other embodiments and methods are described herein.
