    Abstract: The thread insert of the present invention comprises a helical body having a front end portion (3) and a back end portion (6), and a detachable tongue (4) connected to the front end portion (3) of the helical body, and a pair of engaging notches (10) are formed in the back end portion (6). A female thread (2) is formed on an inner surface of the helical body, a male thread (1) is formed on an outer surface of the helical body. The detachable tongue (4) has a circular portion (3a) having an outer diameter which is smaller than that of the helical body. A cutting notch (11) is formed between the front end portion (3) and the circular portion (3a) on at least one of a surface facing backward and a inner surface of the helical body.

    Abstract: A shaft lock mechanism comprising a shaft, a support member, and a connecting member; the support member comprising a cylindrical part which encloses and elastically grips the shaft, and a base part extending in a radially outward direction from the cylindrical part. The connecting member has one end fixed at the bracket and is provided with a slit through which the base part of the support member is inserted in order for the support member to be supported without rotation during rotation of the shaft. Within the cylindrical part, a clearance is formed extending in the direction of the shaft. The clearance provides an appropriate amount of frictional resistance between the shaft and the cylindrical part.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a hinge device which permits opening and closing operations to be carried out smoothly and with surety, and which contributes to the design of a more compact device. The hinge device, wherein a transmitter is connected to one lateral edge of an operational member in a freely opening and closing manner, comprises two hinge device main bodies. These hinge device main bodies are disposed to either end of the lateral edge along the longitudinal direction thereof, and are provided with a cam shaft and a spring respectively. The cam shaft is affixed to the operating member by positioning the axis thereof parallel to the lateral edge. In addition, the cam shaft is provided with a cam portion at its axis periphery. A spring is affixed to the transmitter, and the cam portion of the cam shaft is elastically held.

    Abstract: The present invention offers a pierced earring hole maintenance device with which it is possible to safely and hygienically maintain a small opening formed in the earlobe or the like for the purpose of attaching a pierced earring therein. The pierced earring hole maintenance device of the present invention consists of a resin material and comprises a rod portion, insertable into the small pierced earring hole formed to a position on the earlobe or the like, and a flange portion, provided to one end of the rod and having a maximum width greater than the size of the rod. Through the attachment of the pierced earring maintenance device of the present invention in the small hole formed at the position of attachment of a pierced earring to the earlobe or the like, it is possible to suitably maintain this small opening without causing such symptoms as skin eruptions to develop.
