  • Patent number: 8951490
Abstract: A CO2 recovery method and apparatus for desorbing and recovering carbon dioxide with low energy consumption from a gas discharged from a power generation plant having a boiler and a steam turbine. The adsorption and the desorption of carbon dioxide are performed alternately in two CO2 absorbers and located in a CO2 recovery apparatus, which each hold a carbon dioxide adsorbent. When carbon dioxide is desorbed, steam discharged from an outlet of a steam turbine of a power generation plant is partially branched before introduced into a condenser, and sent to a steam compressor. The partially branched steam is compressed in this compressor, and then sent to a cooling device. By cooling, the steam for desorption is prepared. The steam prepared in the cooling device is supplied into a CO2 absorber to desorb carbon dioxide. Accordingly, waste steam, before it is introduced into the condenser, is usable for desorption.

  • Patent number: 7311012
Abstract: An elongation measuring device 10 measures an elongation in a timing belt 4 included in a driving device 1 provided with a drive roller 2. The elongation measuring device 10 is provided with an encoder 11 and a microphotosensor 12. A present angular position of the drive roller 2 measured at a present-stage measuring cycle and a past angular position of the same measured at a past-stage measuring cycle. The difference between the present and the past angular position is due to the elongation of the timing belt 4. An elongation in the timing belt 4 is estimated on the basis of the difference between the present and the past angular position. Time when the timing belt 4 may possibly break is forecast on the basis of the elongation in the timing belt. The worn out timing belt 4 is replaced with a new one before the same breaks.

  • Patent number: 6951176
Abstract: Disclosed is a collision energy absorbing structure of a vehicle capable of relieving impact by using a tubular pipe member having equally-sized rectangular cross section and equal plate thickness and including no inside ribs and by adding a suitable trigger, and being easily manufactured at a low cost. By forming a cutout portion on the left side of the front end portion of the collision energy absorbing structure, the deformation starting portion is provided. The cutout portion is formed at parts of three flat plate portions comprised of one of the four flat plate portions and corresponding opposite portions thereof. The general portion, which follows the deformation starting portion, is tubular with rectangular cross section and has a closed cross-section structure.

  • Patent number: 6675922
Abstract: A wheel driving system is capable of varying differential limiting torque applied to a differential included in an all-terrain vehicle according to the difference between loads respectively applied to the right and the left wheel of the vehicle, which varies depending on the traveling condition or turning condition of the vehicle. Right and left wheels are connected through a differential gear mechanism (30) having a differential case (46) and held in a reduction gear case (13), an input pinion (22) and a drive shaft to an engine. The differential case (46) and a differential gear shaft (36) connected to the wheel are interlocked by a wet multiple-disk differential limiting mechanism (31) having a friction clutch mechanism immersed in oil. The multiple-disk differential limiting mechanism (31) is operated by a multiple-disk differential limiting mechanism operating mechanism to vary differential limiting torque.

  • Patent number: 4312649
Abstract: Motorcycle has a fuel tank formed with a fueling port which is closed by a filler cap. The filler cap comprises an outer and inner cap discs which are adapted to be engaged respectively with an outer and inner cap seats so as to define a buffer chamber between the cap discs. A vent hole is formed to open the inside of the tank to the buffer chamber which is in turn connected with a canister containing activated carbon particles. The buffer chamber functions to receive liquid fuel when the motorcycle is turned over and prevent the liquid fuel from passing to the canister.
