  • Patent number: 5098790
Abstract: Synthetic resin panel consisting of a core layer (1) of polycarbonate resin covered on at least one of its outer sides by a storage layer (2) containing between 5 and 15% by weight of an UV absorber, and on that side of said storage layer facing away from said core layer, by a cover layer (3) of synthetic resin containing an UV absorber, wherein said UV absorber, incorporated in said cover layer (3), different from said UV absorber incorporated in said storage layer (2), is of low volatility and is present at a concentration exceeding 2% by weight.

  • Patent number: 5092860
Abstract: An elongated sanitary napkin having a longitudinal central area suitable for positioning in a user's crotch area is provided. The sanitary napkin has an upper body contacting side and a lower garment contacting side. The napkin includes an elongated absorbent core delimited by a pair of longitudinal edges and a pair of transverse edges. The absorbent core is covered on at least its upper surface with a body fluid pervious facing and on its bottom surface with a body fluid impervious facing. The sanitary napkin is characterized by the inclusion in its upper body contacting side of two series of discrete indentations. One series of indentations is positioned adjacent to one of the longitudinal edges of the absorbent core and the other series of indentations is positioned adjacent to the opposite longitudinal edge of the absorbent core.

  • Patent number: 5069738
Abstract: Device for applying a protective film to a board consisting of two flat cover panels (2 and 3), coupled by partitions (4) integral with the panels, forming longitudinal cavities (5) comprising means for depositing a film of flexible material (7) on a first surface according to the longest dimensions of the board, so as to form a fold (71) at least over one of the ends onto which the cavities (5) open so as to cover the cavities with the fold.

  • Patent number: 4994054
Abstract: The invention relates to a self-attaching fastener of the buckles and grips type supplied notably as fastening means (2,3) in disposable articles (1). It relates in particular to a buckles part (3), of open structure fabric. In order to be able to fix by means of a cold adhesive glue this part to a support such as a sheet of plastic material constituting the external face of a complete diaper, the invention proposes to associate the element to a film of synthetic resin on at least part of its surface not provided with buckles. In a particular mode of embodiment, the film acts as linking layer for an additional layer consolidating the part.

  • Patent number: 4888913
Abstract: A machine for laying plastic film on a substrate which comprises supporting rollers (32 to 37) on which drum (16) is placed. One of the chassis wheels (6, 8) drives the drum through a transmission system (40) including a mechanical variable speed drive (60) enabling the transmission ratio between the traction wheel and the drum drive rollers to be varied. It is thereby possible to limit the tension forces exerted on the film when laying the film, making it possible to adapt the film to an uneven substrate, such as furrows or ridges on the ground in agricultural uses.
