Abstract: An apparatus comprising a housing, a controller, a fluid source, a negative pressure source, and a canister. The controller, the fluid source, the negative pressure source, and the canister are carried by the housing. The fluid source is couplable to the bandage. The negative pressure source is couplable to the bandage through the canister. The controller is operable to provide a first signal resulting in automated fluid delivery to the bandage from the fluid source. The controller is operable to provide a second signal resulting in the negative pressure source applying negative pressure to the bandage through the canister.
Abstract: A wound dressing member is provided for use in a vacuum bandage connected to a vacuum source. The wound dressing member is also provided for use with a wound having a wound surface. The wound dressing member includes a wound facing surface adapted to be in contact with and generally conform to the wound surface and a plurality of discrete holes formed in the wound facing surface. The member further includes a port configured to communicate with the vacuum source and with each hole formed in the wound facing surface. The wound dressing member further includes a stand-off having interconnected portions coupled to the wound facing surface and configured to provide a space between the wound facing surface and the wound surface.

Abstract: Wound treatment apparatuses comprising a vacuum source and a bandage (e.g., a wound-care bandage) configured to be coupled (and/or coupled) to the vacuum source. Some embodiments of the bandage including a wound dressing member configured to be placed in contact with a wound surface, and a suction port associated with the wound dressing member and/or configured to be connected to the vacuum source. Some embodiments of the member including a plurality of spacers configured to contact the wound surface to define suction space between the member and the wound surface. Some embodiments of the member including holes configured to communicate with the suction space, and/or a plurality of passageways between the suction port and the holes.
