    Abstract: A light-emitting diode (LED) module holder includes a seat, a first holding member, a second holding member, an LED module and two terminals. The LED module is mounted on the seat. The seat has multiple positioning bosses formed thereon to stop the LED module from moving horizontally. The first holding member and the second holding member are mounted on a rear portion and a front portion of a top of the seat, and the first holding member and the second holding member respectively have a first pressing portion and a second pressing portion that fasten the LED module to prevent the LED module from moving vertically. Accordingly, loose contact of electrical connection portions in the LED module holder arising from issues of alignment and fixing can be avoided.

Each terminal has an insertion segment mounted inside the socket of the connection portion, an electrical contact segment formed on a front end of the insertion segment and extending forwards into the accommodation space, and a limiting piece formed on the terminal and located above a corresponding rear rest. The LED module is mounted into the accommodation space and is held between the rear rests and the limiting pieces to avoid escaping from the base.

    Abstract: A surge protection device detects whether a surge voltage occurs at a power input port by using a first Zener diode and a second Zener diode. When the power input port receives a normal voltage, the surge protection device turns on a first transistor to transmit the normal voltage to a load. Otherwise, when the power input port receives the surge voltage, the surge protection device prohibits the first transistor from conducting so as to protect the load from being damaged by the surge voltage. The surge protection device protects the load by controlling conducting or not of the first transistor and is manufactured without a surge protection unit. Therefore, manufacturing cost of the surge protection can be decreased.

    Abstract: A method of making a combination of a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) and a rigid printed circuit board (RPCB), comprising steps of providing a RPCB; providing a FPCB having a panel and a hole formed through the FPCB; forming a solder layer located at the hole and between the RPCB and the FPCB; heating through the hole to melt the solder layer; and removing the heat source to solidify the solder layer to obtain a combination of the FPCB and the RPCB. Based on the steps above, there is no need to use any additional connection piece and fixture of the same and the manufacture cost is lowered. In addition, as a result that the solder layer is very thin, the combination made by the method accommodates less space and has extensive applicability.

The LED includes two electrode leads bending outward and each electrode lead has a distal end. A protrusion is formed from the bottom surface of the distal end. The conductor has two electrode boards. A mounting leadframe is formed and protrudes from the surface of each electrode board and corresponds to one of the electrode leads, and a mounting hole is formed in each electrode board at a position corresponding to one of the protrusions. In addition, the distal end of each electrode lead is inserted respectively into the corresponding mounting leadframe, and each protrusion engages the corresponding mounting hole. With the insertion of the LED into the conductor and the engagements between protrusions and mounting holes, the LED is securely and stably mounted on the conductor.

The conductors are mounted on the PCB and serve respectively as positive electrode conductors and negative electrode conductors. Each conductor has a contact pin and at least one through hole with an inner edge. Each LED is mounted on the positive electrode conductor and the negative electrode conductor and has a die and two contact tabs. Each contact tab has a through hole having an inner edge and multiple hooks extending from the inner edge of the through hole in the contact tab and hooking the inner edge of the at least one through hole in the conductor. Consequently, neither solder nor welding is required to assemble the LED assembly.
