Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing coal briquettes which comprises pulverizing a starting coal mixture, incorporating therein a caking agent, kneading the resulting mixture and molding it and more particularly to a process for preparing coal briquettes which comprises pulverizing said starting coal to the desired degree, incorporating said caking agent in the starting coal mixture at an appropriate temperature in the presence of an appropriate water content, thereby uniformly coating the surface of the starting coal mixture with the caking agent under precise control to obtain an excellent molding material, and then briquetting the latter, as well as to an apparatus for carrying out the process.
