    Abstract: A biodegradable plastic article molded of a mixture comprising the following components: (A) a biodegradable plastic at 98 to 59% by weight, (B) a dry powder of a water-swelling fiber at 1 to 40% by weight, and (C) a fertilizer powder at 1 to 40% by weight (wherein the sum of (B) and (C) is from 2 to 41% by weight). This biodegradable plastic article can improve biodegradability of the biodegradable plastics and make it possible to regulate the rate of biodegradation thereof.
