Abstract: The device includes a multipart hand element, movable about plural axes of rotation, secured on a multipart arm element, also movable about plural axes of rotation, and also includes a programming device which can be programmed by following a program track to be covered, as well as drives respective to each axis of rotation operable to displace the parts about the associated axes. A manually operable multipart framework is mounted on the hand-arm unit to extend parallel to the unit for limited displacement relative thereto. A number of switches equal to the number of axes of rotation, and each respective to a single axis, are operable to activate and deactivate the associated drives. The hand element has a terminal part for mounting either a track guide or a tool adapted to follow mechanically the program track.
Abstract: A device for selectively feeding two ammunition cartridge belts to an automatic weapon, such as a rapid firing cannon wherein two cartridge belt feeders are combined at the input of the weapon, comprising a first sprocket wheel engaging the cartridges of one of the belt feeders, a second sprocket wheel engaging the cartridges of the other belt feeder and mounted adjacent to the first sprocket wheel, drive means coupled to the first and second sprocket wheels for selectively turning one of the wheels forwardly toward the weapon and rearwardly away from the weapon, and switching means mounted adjacent to the first and second sprocket wheels for receiving a cartridge from one of the wheels and leading the cartridge toward the breech of the weapon.
Abstract: A barbed wire comprises a metal strip having a longitudinally extending reinforcing rib portion and at least one plate portion extending laterally outwardly from the rib portion along its length. The plate portion has a series of triangular contiguous pointed projection portions with longitudinally extending bases and with an apex point extending outwardly from the bases offset longitudinally from the point of intersection of adjacent bases of the respective triangular projection portions. The rib portion may be reinforced by a thickened formation and a plurality of plates may extend, for example, radially outwardly from the reinforcing rib portion.
Abstract: A method for monitoring and regulating electrical resistance welding by comparing the actual values obtained by integrating measured values of the welding electrodes with desired valued limits obtained by test welding operations in the form of voltage and current parameters. These parameters are integrated in accordance with the formula ##EQU1## WHEREIN Y IS OTHER THAN UNITY AND IS SELECTED SO THAT THE INFLUENCE OF THE RESISTANCE R on the actual, measured value is at least equivalent to the influence of the current I and/or the welding time t, in the above formula, on the measured value. The resultant weld value is then fed to a comparison circuit which contains the upper and lower limits obtained by the test welding. If these limits are exceeded the power to the welding apparatus is automatically disconnected.
