  • Patent number: 11865738
Abstract: A frangibility device for creating a preferred breakage plane or weakness within cured columns such as rigid inclusions (RIs) and/or vibratory concrete columns (VCCs) comprises a cutting disc, an elongate strut attached to the center of the disc, and a detachable handle for turning. The disc comprises a thin geometric plate slit from center to periphery, so that a slicing wing can be bent downward at a shallow angle from the slit. The slicing wing advances the cutting disc through the cementious material of the uncured column. When the disc reaches the desired depth, the handle is removed and both disc and strut are left in place during curing.

  • Patent number: 11396778
Abstract: A telescopic drill rod has at least two rod members disposed coaxially to one another, with the inner rod member being axially slidable relative to the outer rod member in a telescoping manner between an extended position and a retracted position. Both the inner rod member and outer rod member are equipped with joints at each end for connection to a drill head and/or another section of drill pipe. The joints also lock the inner and outer rod members in either the extended or retracted positions, and this is accomplished with a unique frusto-conical threaded engagement that is well-suited for transmitting pressure forces.

  • Patent number: 10968588
Abstract: A mobile fabrication solution for onsite assemblage of earth drains for ground stabilization that includes a despooling carousel for uncoiling corrugated tubing from a stock supply, and for feeding the stock tubing into an extrusion head unit. The head unit contains counter-rotating wheels that grip and drive the tubing out through a collet into a filter sock and into a collection trough. One end of a stock supply of fabric filter sock is attached to the collet exteriorly of the head unit to the collet and is unrolled along the trough. When the corrugated tubing is ejected it fills the sock within the trough and may be cut to the desired length onsite, eliminating waste.
