The process produces a two-layer composite protective coating system with a finished, seamless, chemical bond within its interlayers as well as to adjacent coating materials. The process is suitable for metallic substrates, which may or may not be cathodically protected, and maybe used to coat new or repair previously coated metallic substrates.
