  • Patent number: 11890814
Abstract: Systems and methods for aggregating and analyzing digital manufacturing data are disclosed. An aggregator can collect output data generated by a number of digital manufacturing machines. The output data can be filtered and transmitted to a server for storage in a database. One or more clients can access the data in the database via an API. This can extract 3D printer data, transform it into a canonical form, and upload it to a network-based database. These services can interact using a client-centric messaging system like Kafka or, more generally, a message manager. When a client's producer sends a message, the messaging system responds that the message request either can or cannot be processed. If the message can be processed, then the aggregator sends the message; otherwise the producer can retry at a future time.

  • Patent number: 11556968
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing price quotes for 3D objects are described herein. In one embodiment, costs related to generating a 3D object molded from a 3D printer mold may be based on various parameters. The process for generating a price quote may include uploading an initial file to a server and converting that file into a 3D CAD file. The method may also include selecting units, materials, a finish, and/or a quantity of objects to be made. Based on the selections, the server may generate a price quote to produce the one or more objects, and a checkout option may be provided allowing the user to purchase the one or more objects.

  • Patent number: 11541584
Abstract: We disclose a component of an injection molding tool that includes a one piece side of a mold built up by additive manufacturing using a polymer, the side of the mold defining part of an injection cavity. The side of the mold further includes an injection port coupled to the injection cavity and a heating fluid manifold separated from the injection cavity by a heat transfer wall. The heat transfer wall is reinforced against pressure in the injection cavity by a backing of engineered supports. Inlet and outlet ports are coupled to the heating fluid manifold, configured to channel a thermally conductive fluid into and out of the heating fluid manifold. Additional additive manufacturing features and material properties are described. Complementary methods of manufacturing also are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10821633
Abstract: We disclose methods for, devices that implement, and structures produced by 3D printing of insulating and airtight walls using fused deposition modeling printers. Several disclosed methods and features contribute to insulating and airtight walls. These can be used individually or in combination. Structures that reduce or eliminate horizontal surfaces through the use of overlying cantilevered contours can be combined with continuous structures that penetrate through multiple layers, selective overfilling, offset joints and additional extrusions to mitigate leakage routes. Self-supporting closed cell structures can be built that form insulating regions by controlling convective losses.
