    Abstract: Disclosed is an adjustable chair backrest having a frame and deformable material covering one side of the frame. A pressure having a rigid lower portion and an elastically deformable upper portion is mounted on a cam. The plate and cam pivot about an axis in response to rotation of a spindle to cause outward movement of the deformable material.
