Abstract: A quick change tool chuck system including:(a) a chuck having: a cylindrical housing member having a lateral aperture for receiving two diametrically opposed jaw members; two jaw members for gripping the shank of a tool, each of the jaw members having an outer surface which is sloped, and each of the jaw members also having an inner surface forming one or more driving surfaces for rotating the shank of a tool and multiple holding surfaces for clamping the shank of the tool; and a cylindrical sleeve member slidably positioned over the housing member, the sleeve member having two diametrically opposed wedge members positioned on the interior surface thereof; and(b) a tool having: a work performing portion; and a round shank connected to the work performing portion, the shank having multiple identical planar surfaces recessed therein, each of the planar surfaces being spaced an equal distance from the crown of the shank, and at least two of the planar surfaces being in contact with at least two of the driving su
