    Abstract: A screen door insert is disclosed that can be used in lieu of, or in combination with, a standard screen door. The insert is particularly useful for apartment dwellers who may not be provided with a screen door. The screen door insert provides security and convenience, since it cannot be easily opened and it is also easily mountable. The insert is constructed so as to be self supporting in a standard door frame. The frame of the screen door insert is foldable in half upon itself to provide for compact and easy storage.
