  • Patent number: 4790080
Abstract: A pass-through station for conducting an air flow and for cleaning contaminated surfaces in the station with flowing air and preventing dust particles removed during the decontamination from undesirably reaching the room to be kept clean which is supplied through the pass-through station, includes a passageway for conducting an air flow having a substantially circular air flow cross section, a central axis, oppositely disposed segmental side walls and end surfaces, air chambers alongside the passasgeway having segmental inner walls forming the oppositely disposed segmental side walls, the inner walls of the air chambers having at least one pair of slit-like air outlets formed therein diametrically opposite one another with respect to the central axis, and at least one return air pipe coaxial to the substantially circular cross section at least at one of the end surfaces, for removing an air component corresponding to the inflowing air.

  • Patent number: 4697435
Abstract: Apparatus for humidifying, cleaning and cooling of gases, especially air, with a filter layer disposed in the gas stream and a device for supplying it with liquid. The apparatus has a cuboid housing with upper inlets for outside and/or ambient air. In the housing is disposed at least one cage with a polygonal cross section and closed below. The upper surface of the cage is only partially covered by a centrally located fan, leaving a wide outer ring gap. Underneath the fan is an annular spray nozzle for the distribution of the liquid, mainly water, on an inner cage wall formed by a filter layer. The housing is equipped in its lower part with air outlet openings and in its upper part, partially covering the cage, with a channel for return of the air coming out of the cage to the annular gap at the fan.

  • Patent number: 4191098
Abstract: An air conditioning unit comprises as the air outlet member a nozzle which is subdivided into a primary nozzle and a secondary nozzle. The primary nozzle consists of a hollow cone on the inside of which is coaxially arranged a truncated cone. The cone is displaceable in axial direction. With its base the hollow cone is mounted on an air conducting tube supplying the primary air. The secondary nozzle consists of a sleeve coaxially surrounding the hollow cone and being of a larger diameter so as to leave a free space between the inner sleeve wall and the hollow cone. The sleeve is mounted with its one end spaced from the air conducting tube, thereby leaving an entrance between the sleeve and the hollow cone for the room air. By this particular design a comparatively large circulation of room air is attained with the least possible energy of primary air.
