Abstract: Ketone bodies can be used to treat the human body from viral infections, and will overcome the cytokine storm, which leads to acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome. Based on this discovery, methods of treating humans from a viral infection like Covid-19 are disclosed which includes a therapeutically effective amount of an exogenous ketones including, but not limited to, ketone monoester (R)-3-hydroxybutyl (R)-3-hydroxybutanoate.
Abstract: A foodstuff can include a free acid ?-hydroxybutyrate, and a base. The ?-hydroxybutyrate, and base, are present at a less than 1:1 molar equivalence. Ketone Ester may also be incorporated as a component of the foodstuff.
