Patent number: 5156514Abstract: In a shelf-type store for magazines with material in rod or plate form, an apparatus is described for putting the material, contained in the magazines, into and out of store and for selecting it. For this purpose the magazines are moved with the aid of a transport car mobile beneath the shelving units, one of the magazine places of the truck including a hoist device. Adapted to this, the station for putting material into and out of store, lying outside the shelving units, is arranged with two reception levels, arranged one above the other for the magazines, of which the upper level is reachable for the transport car through its hoist device while the lower level may be brought into connection with the level of the transport car directly by a transfer device for the magazines.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1991Date of Patent: October 20, 1992Assignee: Keuro Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. Patent number: 5115599Abstract: A unitary workpiece handling system has a frame (10) which can be operatively coupled to a supply conveyor (1, 4, 5, 6) which transports workpieces to a supply position. Two transfer jaws (17, 18) engage and guide and may grip the workpiece at end faces and, by pivotable mounting and upon pivoting about a pivot axis (20), transfer the workpiece to a receiver (22, 23) which is formed by receiver elements having upstanding portions to define an essentially prismatic configuration therebetween. The receiver is pivotable about a receiver axis (21) to transfer the workpieces to a workpiece gripping system (25) which picks up the workpiece at the end faces and places it on a delivery conveyor (26) or the like, directly or after rotating the workpieces by 90.degree., so that upstanding disk-like elements are laid flat. A plurality of workpieces can be, individually, in the transfer jaws (17, 18), the receiver (22, 23) and the gripper (25) to provide for rapid handling.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 1990Date of Patent: May 26, 1992Assignee: KEURO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. Patent number: 5103704Abstract: The clamping device has a stationary, substantially vertical clamping face (5) for the workpiece, arranged at right angles with respect to the feed direction of the saw band. A movable clamping jaw (8) is horizontally movable with respect thereto, the clamping jaw (8) having a substantially vertical clamping face (9). The movable clamping jaw (8) is formed as a clamping bridge (7), reaching over the machine table. The fixed clamping face (5) also reaches over the machine table, while leaving a passage for the saw band. The ends of the clamping bridge are guided horizontally beside the machine bench, for clampable adjustment perpendicular to the clamping faces (5, 9), the clamping bridge (7) being pivotable on guide blocks (22, 23) slidable on guide rails next to and below the table (2) of the saw, so that the clamping bridge can clamp a workpiece (3) between the clamping faces, by a toggle connection to a handle, or release the movable bridge.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 1991Date of Patent: April 14, 1992Assignee: Keuro Maschinenbau GmbH & Co.Inventors: Dieter Spath, Armin Stolzer, Manfred Ihle

Patent number: 5088364Abstract: To provide for efficient handling of stock material (40) and cut-off elements (41), which may be workpieces or cut-off wedges, by a cut-off saw, with miter adjustments, a positioning finger (21) is pressed against the stock material to engage the stock material against a guide plate or bar (19) prior to clamping the stock material in position for cut-off. After cutting of the stock material, the clamp (5) is released, and the finger is moved to a position ahead of the cut-off surface, and then longitudinally in feeding direction to a removal conveyor (28) so that the cut-off element is raked away by the positioning finger. After removal, the positioning finger is retracted out of the path of the stock material and, while new stock material is being fed, is longitudinally returned to the starting position to again align new stock material against the guide plate or bar (19).Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 1990Date of Patent: February 18, 1992Assignee: Keuro Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. Patent number: 5081890Abstract: To prevent formation of burrs and splinters upon sawing a workpiece (3) with a continuously moving saw band (9) operating in a cutting movement direction (18), the saw band (9) is guided at an inclination or angle (19) with respect to a support surface (2) of the workpiece (3) at least just before cut-through, in which the angle (19) is open or away from the support surface, with respect to the cutting movement direction (18). A saw band holder (8) can be tipped or tilted about a pivot axis (7) offset from the support surface, or guided, already initially, at the angle which, preferably, is between about 1.degree. and 10.degree. and, especially, about 3.degree..Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 1990Date of Patent: January 21, 1992Assignee: Keuro Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. Patent number: 4823662Abstract: An apparatus for handling bar-like workpiece material in a sawing machine, in particular in the form of a miter-box saw, whichhas a clamping carriage that is disposed on the machine frame above the workpiece table and is movable horizontally and parallel to the feed direction of the workpiece material. On one workpiece side, the clamping carriage has two openable and closable bearing jaws, and facing them in the direction of the workpiece material it has three openable and closable clamping jaws disposed beside one another in the material feed direction. The openable and closing jaws are coordinated such that a stock material is held in place for sawing a measured piece and then the cut piece and stock material are moved together to a position for the nextcut length. The cut piece is then moved and released. The steps are repeated to cut the next and successive pieces.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 1987Date of Patent: April 25, 1989Assignee: Keuro Maschinenbau GmbH & Co., KGInventor: Armin Stolzer

Patent number: 4781092Abstract: An apparatus for feeding bar-like workpiece material in a severing machine is disclosed, which has an openable and closable pair of chuck jaws disposed nondisplaceably in the feed direction of the material before the cutting plane and an openable and closable pair of feed jaws disposed behind the cutting plane and displaceable in the material feed direction. In crossing the cutting plane, this pair of feed jaws can grasp the unworked material anew and, with the chuck jaws open, advance it. A pair of removal jaws is provided, disposed behind the cutting plane and displaceable in the material feed direction, with which the material to be severed can be grasped before the end of the severing cut and removed in the material feed direction after the end of the severing cut. It is also provided that the feed jaws are movable out of the displacement path of the removal jaws that extends in the material feed direction.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 1987Date of Patent: November 1, 1988Assignee: Keuro Maschinenbau GmbH & Co.Inventor: Ruprecht Gaiser
