    Abstract: Disclosed is a cartridge for use in a chromatography system wherein fluid is introduced to and removed from the cartridge through a fluid connecting tube. The cartridge is comprised of a hollow tubular member suitable for containing sorbent material, the tubular member having at least a first hollow end portion. A plug member is provided inside the first hollow end portion suitable for containing the adsorbent material. The plug member has means for sealing the fluid tube in the cartridge and passing fluid to and from the sorbent.
