  • Patent number: 11656593
Abstract: An electrical power distribution system has a converter module having a converter to convert AC voltage from AC voltage sources to DC voltage and provide DC voltage power with adjustable maximum power values at electrical output interfaces of the converter module to a maximum module power value. It includes a power profile management device to negotiate individual power profiles with electrical consumers connectable to the electrical output interfaces, according to which individual power profiles electrical power up to a negotiated maximum power value is provided by the converter via the electrical output interface. The device detects instantaneous actual power consumption with which an individually negotiated power profile and calculates a power reserve value of the converter as the difference between negotiated maximum power value and instantaneous actual power consumption and negotiate with consumers whose power reserve value is higher than an adjustable reserve threshold value a new power profile.

  • Patent number: 11027848
Abstract: A power pack for a seat-related supply of power, such as an airplane seat, to an electrical unit having an interface for outputting status information. The interface is configured to provide an optical output of the status information. A method for wirelessly reading out status information of the power pack includes the steps of collecting status information, optically transmitting the collected status information, receiving the collected status information with a mobile receive device, and representing the collected status information on the mobile receive device.

  • Patent number: 7221357
Abstract: Operating assemblies and installed components of a vehicle are represented by representational objects such as icons, graphic images and symbols on a touch-sensitive display screen. A matrix with matrix fields defined by the intersection of rows and columns is superimposed on the objects on the display screen. A rectangular region of the matrix is selected by touching two corner points, for example. All of the objects located in matrix fields that are entirely within, or at least partially within, or at least partially within or bordering on the selected rectangular region, are selected. Once the group of objects is selected, the entire group of the operating assemblies and installed components of the vehicle represented by the selected group of objects is operated or actuated simultaneously together as a group.

  • Patent number: 7047112
Abstract: An operating apparatus for a cabin system in an aircraft monitors and controls the functions of cabin systems such as information, audio, lighting, door, water and/or wastewater systems. The apparatus includes a main computer processor with an application software adapted to the cabin system, a display screen, an operator interface with a surface-sensitive input device, a controller for the operator interface, a graphics controller, an audio controller, and at least one magnetic coupler for associated interfaces, arranged in a housing. To carry out additional autonomous functions, an additional second computer with a second central processing unit and further electronic assemblies, is integrated into the housing of the operating apparatus with the common display screen and the common surface-sensitive input device so that an operation of the second computer can be carried out via the surface-sensitive input device.

  • Patent number: 6988246
Abstract: A monitoring and control device includes a touch sensitive LCD screen, with a basic layout including a display area and touch sensitive keys depicted with associated system and function symbols. A main menu or any one of plural system menus can be selectively displayed in the display area. The system menus relate to cabin systems such as audio, lighting, and water systems. The selected system menu displays status information and touch input keys for the user to monitor the status and to select and control the operation of the system. The main menu is a top level window providing essential information regarding all of the cabin systems and allows a user to select any one of the system menus. The device is compact, user-friendly, and adaptable to various system requirements by mere software reprogramming. The displays and input keys are all virtual elements generated by software.

  • Patent number: 6425773
Abstract: An electrical outlet has socket openings for insertion of contact pins of an electrical plug therein, a closure element that selectively closes or opens the socket openings, and a latching element that selectively latches or unlatches the closure element. The closure element slides perpendicularly to the insertion axis. The latching element includes a latching pawl that is flexibly deflectable parallel to the insertion axis, between a latched position for engaging the closure element and an unlatched position for releasing the closure element. An unlatching pin of an adapter is inserted to deflect the latching pawl to disengage it from the closure element. This unlocks the receptacle for use. Then the contact pins of the plug may be inserted through holes in the adapter and into the socket openings to press sloping surfaces of the closure element to slide the closure element to the open position.
