  • Patent number: 5822201
Abstract: Here is disclosed a push-pull inverter characterized by a thin and small-sized boosting transformer improved to require a dielectric strength as low as possible and to be free from leakage current as well as noise. To realize such improvement, the boosting transformer is provided with a first secondary coil and a second secondary coil between which an impedance element such as a capacitor is connected so as to form together a serial circuit section, an output side of the first secondary coil is connected in a manner to have a same potential as a negative potential of a DC source and a load such as a fluorescent lamp is connected to the respective output sides of the first and second secondary coils.

  • Patent number: 5282120
Abstract: The present invention has an object to develop a converter allowing dielectric strength of a booster transformer to be reduced by half for miniaturization and security thereof. To achieve this object, the booster transformer is provided with first and second secondary coils so that, every time a switching element is turned ON, the first secondary coil generates positive voltage in reference with the negative terminal potential of a DC source while the second secondary coil generates negative voltage also in reference with the negative terminal potential of the DC source and a sum of these positive and negative voltages is output from the converter as a composite voltage.

  • Patent number: 5109328
Abstract: This invention relates to a push-pull inverter used, for example, as a driver for cold-cathod discharge tube, hot-cathode discharge tube, etc.According to this invention, respective control electrodes of a first switching element and a second switching element are interconnected by a capacitor so that a load current passes through this capacitor and thereby alternately activates the first and second switching element. With such arrangement, a boosting transformer requires no feedback coil and it is possible to eliminate a capacitor for resonance which has conventionally been connected in parallel to a primary coil of said boosting transformer.
