    Abstract: A color card showing at least three color samples is provided. Among the color samples, a light color sample expressing a light color tone occupies a larger space than samples expressing the other color tones. A deep color sample expressing a deep color tone in the color card is arranged on one side of the light color sample, and a neutral color sample expressing a neutral color tone which stands between the light and deep color tones is arranged on the other side. Use of such a color card allows the user to roughly select a color card showing a color tone suited for being applied to an object to be painted from a plurality of color cards based on their light color samples, and then select one of color tones shown in the selected color card.

    Abstract: There is disclosed an odor concentration measuring device which can objectively and easily measure an odor concentration. The odor concentration measuring device 1 is provided with an injector having a cylinder 3 and a piston 5, and an odor sensor 11 is fixed to an inner wall 3a of the cylinder 3. The odor sensor 11 measures the odor of air inside the cylinder 3, and outputs a voltage V in accordance with the odor intensity. A control box 7 provided on the outer periphery of the cylinder 3 is provided with an electronic control circuit, which allows a blue LED 9b to light instead of a red LED 9r when the voltage V reaches a value corresponding to the odor intensity which cannot be perceived by people. By reciprocating the piston 5, the sample air is diluted. The odor concentration can be measured by the dilution magnification at which the lighting state of the LED 9r or 9b is changed.

    Abstract: A floor paint composition superior in resistance to oil and solvents, and in early strength. The composition is mainly composed of a synthetic resin emulsion based on an from anion copolymer obtained from the copolymerization of .alpha.-type hemihydrate gypsum, cement and ethylene unsaturated monomer. The ratio of weight of .alpha.-type hemihydrate gypsum to cement is between 80:20 and 95:5. The ratio of the solid content of the synthetic resin relative to 100 parts by weight of the mixture of .alpha.-type hemihydrate gypsum and cement is between 15 and 35 parts by weight. The anion copolymer contains at least one unit of a monomer selected from the group consisting of ethylene unsaturated carboxylic acid, ethylene unsaturated sulfonic acid and ethylene unsaturated phosphonic acid. The copolymer can include an ethylene unsaturated monomer having at least one organic silicon radical. The synthetic resin emulsion can include epoxy silane.
