Patent number: 5330066Abstract: A frame device for supporting objects such as batteries and the like during seismic stress comprising two vertical frame members formed in a G shaped cross section. The frame has an inside face facing the other of the pair, a front face extending perpendicularly to an outside face. A back face extends from the inside face for part of the distance to the outside face. It also includes a top horizontal cross member formed in a C shaped cross section and having horizontally extending tab portions at each terminal end. The inside faces of horizontal members have slots passing one end of the top cross member through each inside face. The outside faces of the horizontal members have notches to receive the tabs of the top cross member to attach it to the vertical frame member. A bottom horizontal cross member is formed in a C shaped cross section, having a bottom face across the width of the top cross member with its bottom face having a slot and groove proximate each terminal end.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 1992Date of Patent: July 19, 1994Assignee: Kim Manufacturing CompanyInventor: Joseph W. Patent number: 5255782Abstract: A tray device having a predetermined rectangular shape for holding a battery conforming to the predetermined rectangular shape comprising a front panel, a rear panel and a pair of side panels forming the predetermined rectangular shape. The side panels each have bottom panels folded to form a bottom for the predetermined rectangular shape. The bottom panels also have bottom flanges and the side panels each have side flanges with all of the flanges being folded a right angles to their respective panels to provide parallel contact with the front and rear panels. The side flanges have sufficient space from the bottom flanges to permit location of all of the flanges in one plane of contact with the front and rear panels. The tray is assembled using a plurality of spot welds fixedly attaching the flanges to the front and rear panels without substantially altering the predetermined rectangular shape.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 1992Date of Patent: October 26, 1993Assignee: Kim Manufacturing CompanyInventor: Joseph W. Patent number: 5007608Abstract: A wall mounting device for attaching a television set to a wall. The device includes a tray having a base for mounting the television set thereon. The base is attached to one end of a support arm which extends generally horizontally away from the tray to the other end of the arm. A slide assembly is attached to the other end of the arm and includes a vertical "s" shaped angled member having a lower flat portion parallel to the wall, a middle pivot portion and a upper flat portion parallel to and spaced from the wall. A bracket is provided which extends vertically along the wall to which it is attached. The bracket includes a back plate and a pair of confronting u-shaped side flanges extending from the back plate to present a pair of vertical inner track surfaces which are spaced from the wall such that said lower flat portion and the pivot portion of the slide assembly contact the back plate when the upper portion of the slide assembly is in contact with the inner track surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1989Date of Patent: April 16, 1991Assignee: Kim Manufacturing CompanyInventor: Joseph W. Patent number: 4363460Abstract: A stand for television sets comprising a pair of inverted T-shaped leg sections each comprising a pair of leg members of L-shaped configuration which interengage and nest to form a four-legged base. An elongated bolt member is fixed at the head end to one of the leg sections and has a threaded end projecting beyond the top end of the base. When the leg sections are nested, the bolt is disposed in a concealed elongated cavity defined by the leg sections. A closure cap assembly is mounted at the upper terminal end of one of the vertical portions of one of the leg sections and in the illustrated embodiment forms an integral subassembly therewith. The overcap assembly has a configuration and arrangement to vertically align the leg members relative to one another and provide a certain parallelism of the parts so that all the bearing surfaces are parallel to one another and to the support surface such as a floor.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 1980Date of Patent: December 14, 1982Assignee: Kim Manufacturing CompanyInventor: Joseph W.
