    Abstract: A surgical drape and surgical drape kit are provided for engaging a hook fastener to fasten the surgical drape to an object. The surgical drape comprises a fabric including a nonwoven layer, the nonwoven layer having a surface including a plurality of strands. The strands are arranged on the surface with a plurality of bonds spaced about the surface and a plurality of loops extending between the bonds, the loops being engageable with the hook fastener for fastening the surgical drape to the object. The surgical drape kit may also comprise a plurality of surgical drapes for use together during a surgical procedure, the loops being engageable with the hook fastener for fastening the surgical drapes together.

    Abstract: An individually packaged absorbent article, such as a catamenial device, is disclosed. The absorbent article has an outer periphery with first and second ends and first and second longitudinal sides. The absorbent article further has first and second major surfaces, with the second major surface having an garment attachment adhesive secured thereto. The absorbent article is enclosed by a wrapper having first and second ends, first and second longitudinal sides, and first and second major surfaces. The first major surface of the wrapper is releasably affixed to the garment attachment adhesive such that the first and second ends of the wrapper and the first and second longitudinal sides of the wrapper extend beyond the outer periphery of the absorbent article. An attachment device, such as a line of an adhesive or one or more dots of adhesive, is secured to the second major surface of the wrapper and is located closer to the first end than to the second end.

    Abstract: A process and apparatus for controllably registering two continuously moving layers of material is provided. One of the layers comprises a permanently settable material, and has a plurality of reference marks representing a plurality of separate and distinct components, and the other of the continuously moving layers has a respective plurality of different components thereon. The process and apparatus controls the distance between reference marks to a selected distance, and controllably registers each reference mark to a respective component of the continuously moving second layer.

    Abstract: A system and method for collecting data on individual and aggregate use of toilet tissue or other types of rolled absorbent paper in a public washroom includes a sensing system for sensing one or more characteristics of paper use at a particular dispensing location, and a recording system for receiving and recording data from said sensing system, whereby paper use at the dispensing location can be monitored and studied. The system further analyzes the data to determine such things as the total amount of paper used, the duration of time over which paper is used, the number of discrete pulls on the paper taken by a user and the amount of paper taken by a user per discrete pull.
