  • Patent number: 5001787
Abstract: A combination bathtub/shower facility comprised of separately prefabricated shower and bathtub units which are structurally interconnected in such a manner as to maintain the structural, watertight, and aesthetic integrity of the facility. The bathtub and shower units are prefrably of unitary molded construction, e.g. of molded fiberglass construction. The shower unit includes a base portion, and preferably further includes vertically upwardly extending shower walls which are integrally formed with the shower base portion. Alternatively, separately prefabricated shower wall panels may be secureably mounted to the shower base portion. In a presently preferred embodiment, the interconnection of the bathtub and shower units is accomplished by connection facilities which are integral with or easily affixable to the side of the shower base portion which is disposed adjacent to a side wall of the bathtub unit.

  • Patent number: 4811434
Abstract: A spa having a base with an upper and a lower surface and a plurality of base air holes formed through predetermined portions of the base, and an air channel connected to the lower surface of the base for channeling air through the base air holes. The air channel consists of a tube having a tube opening extending therethrough and a plurality of tube air holes. The tube is disposed on the base so that each of the tube air holes is aligned with one of the base air holes. The tube is connected to the base and a seal is formed generally about each of the base air holes and aligned tube air holes between the tube and the lower surface of the base. A blower is connected to the tube in communication with the tube opening for blowing air through the tube opening and through the tube air holes and the aligned base air holes.

  • Patent number: 4096980
Abstract: A mounting bracket for a saddlebag or the like has a bar member which is slotted to form a track in which a flat head portion of a specially designed bolt member rides. The bar member has elongated slots formed therein through which bolts are placed for attaching the bar member to the wall of a saddlebag, the bar member thus being adjustable as to position relative to the saddlebag along the longitudinal axis of the bar member. Offset bracket members and spacers as required are either fixedly attached to the bar member or attached by means of flat headed bolt members which ride in the track and are adjustably positioned therealong. A strut is attached to the first flat headed bolt member, this strut being attached at the other end thereof to the foot peg of the cycle, with or without use of an offset bracket as may be needed. One of the offset brackets is attached to the end of one of the rear shock mounts of the cycle.

  • Patent number: 4089556
Abstract: A fairing for a motorcycle has a windshield attached thereto, this windshield having a central portion which is fixedly attached to the fairing and side wing portions which are hinged to the central portion to form articulated units. The articulated side windshield portions are connected to the steering column of the motorcycle on which the fairing is mounted through a suitable coupling mechanism and cable, such that when the steering column is turned one way or the other, an appropriate one of the side window portions is rotated outwardly to avoid interference with the handlebar. This enables the placement of the fairing and the windshield closer to the rider, thereby affording improved protection from the wind. Further, the fairing is shaped with downwardly deflecting scoops which deflect the air stream downwardly in a manner such as to minimize wind resistance.
