Abstract: A pressurised container containing a liquid composition to be dispensed and a propellant to pressurise the container. The container has a non-metred outlet valve at its lower end such that it is in communication with liquid in the container when the container is oriented with the valve lowermost. The valve comprises a valve stem having an outlet towards the bottom end communicating with an inlet as a lateral port through the side of the stem, the lateral port being positioned such that it is moveable between a first position out of communication with the liquid and a second position in communication with the liquids. A resilient element biases the valve element to the first position. A sealing plate which surrounds the valve stem and has a first seal and a second seal. An end cap is fitted over the sealing plate.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cascade impactor for measuring particle size distribution of an aerosol comprising nicotine, the cascade impactor comprising: an induction port for receiving an inhaler; and at least one sample collection stage comprising a nozzle assembly and a collection means; wherein the collection means of at least one sample collection stage is coated with isopropyl alcohol.

Abstract: A pressurized refill canister containing a composition including a propellant. The canister has an outlet valve having a stem biased to a closed position by a first resilient member. The stem has a maximum outer diameter of greater than 3 mm. At the outlet end of the stem, at least part of the wall of the stem extends inwardly from the outside diameter for at least 50% of the radius.

Abstract: The present invention provides a cannabinoid inhaler, compositions, and methods for delivering a cannabinoid composition to a subject. The cannabinoid composition is delivered in the form of inhaled droplets of respirable size via pulmonary administration. The invention may be used in the treatment of a condition or disorder selected from the group consisting of neuropathic pain, cannabis addiction, nausea, motion sickness, arthritis, and neurodegenerative disease.

Abstract: A simulated cigarette which has a reservoir of an inhalable composition and an outlet valve to control the outlet flow. The outlet end is provided with a deformable material to provide a more realistic feel and optionally to allow the user to vary the flow characteristics in the manner of a real cigarette. The outlet end can also be provided with a chemical heater. The simulated cigarette is wrapped in a paper or paper-like wrap to provide a more realistic feel.

Abstract: A simulated cigarette device with a substantially cylindrical cigarette-like shape comprising a reservoir of a pressurized composition including an inhalable substance and a propellant. A refill valve is in communication with the reservoir via which the reservoir is refilled. A breath-activated valve selectively controls the flow through a reservoir outlet and hence through an inhaling outlet in the device. The size of the reservoir, the pressure within the reservoir and the size of the reservoir outlet at its narrowest point are arranged so that, when the breath-activated valve is fully opened, the reservoir will discharge in less than 30 seconds.

A non-metered breath-activated valve is provided between the one end and the reservoir, the breath-activated valve comprising a flow path extending from the reservoir to the outlet end. At least a portion of the flow path is a deformable tube. A clamping member pinches the deformable tube closed when no suction force is applied to the device and releases the tube to open the flow path when suction is applied at the outlet, to provide uninterrupted flow from the reservoir to the outlet.
