Abstract: A therapeutic treatment table having a lifting mechanism to allow lowering of the therapeutic treatment table close to the ground support surface and having a releasable connecting means to automatically connect or release the oscillating means from the therapeutic treatment table and an adjusting means to vary the degree of oscillation of the therapeutic treatment table.
Abstract: The invention is to an apparatus for applying traction to an immobilized patient undergoing oscillatory therapy. The support means for weights has a portion on an oscillating support platform of the bed and part stationary beyond the oscillating portion with a cable contained partially within a conduit thereinbetween offset from the longitudinal center line of oscillating patient support.
Abstract: A tube holder comprised of a foam strip which has apertures in the strip running the length of the strip at spaced intervals. The resilient nature of the foam facilitates holding a trachea or nasogastric tube sufficiently firmly in place when the strip is wrapped around the patient's head and two of the apertures are aligned so that the tube can be inserted through the apertures into a patient's body orifice. The apertures may be circular or slits. An alternative embodiment uses a similar foam material but has a single aperture at one end for inserting the tube through, with the other end of the strip wrapping around a person's head and being wrapped around the tube and fixed by Velcro or similar substances.
Abstract: An oscillating hospital bed having an oscillating frame for oscillating about a longitudinally extending axis and a patient support mounted on the oscillating frame for controlled pivoting of the patient support about a transverse axis. Securing devices are provided on the patient support to hold a patient in place and the oscillating frame is cantilevered from a base support.
Abstract: A kinetic treatment table having a lifting mechanism to allow lowering of the kinetic treatment table close to the ground support surface and having a releasable connecting means to automatically connect or release the oscillating means from the kinetic treatment table and an adjusting means to vary the degree of oscillation of the kinetic treatment table.
