Abstract: The present invention relates to a fluid filter for treating fluid, including a filter media for filtering the fluid, and a filter housing having a fluid impermeable plate to carry the filter media. The fluid outlets and the fluid outlets are arranged in a staggered manner in a height direction of the filter media, so that a flow path along which the fluid flows in the filter media is extended, preferably maximized, to provide an extended fluid residence time. The present invention also discloses a water container comprising the water filter and an air release device for discharge of air remaining in the water filter to an atmosphere.

Abstract: The invention provides a bag container with a sealing mechanism including first and second container housings to define an open top. The sealing mechanism includes female and male engagement members respectively positioned on the two container housings. The male engagement member includes a body portion and at least a pair of protrusions extending from opposite sides of the body portion and facing away from each other, the protrusions each having opposite first and second side surfaces, and the second side surface extending at an acute angle relative to an orthogonal direction of the longitudinal axis of the male engagement member. The female and male engagement members are sized and shaped for mating engagement to hermetically seal the open top. The invention also provides a sealing mechanism comprising female and male engagement members having mating wavy cross-sectional profiles in a plane parallel to the respective container housings.

Abstract: The Applicant's invention provides a lid for a food container including a cover, a dressing storage compartment, and a shutter attached to the cover or the dressing storage compartment for sealingly closing the dressing storage compartment. The shutter is configured to allow dispensing of the dressing contained in the dressing storage compartment when the dressing storage compartment is caused to move up relative to the cover, without the need of opening the lid. The Applicant's invention also provides a food container including the lid.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a shearing tool such as scissors, comprising first and second cutting members pivotally coupled with each other, and a linkage pivotally coupled to the first and second cutting members, whereby the linkage and one of the first and second cutting members form together a compound lever mechanism. A force applied by an operator onto the shearing tool increases as an output by the linkage, and the increasing force is conveyed to that cutting member so that the cutting power of the shearing tool increase to allow hard-to-cut materials to be cut manually and easily with less effort from the operator.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a food processing device, comprising a base plate provided with a first pivot and a second pivot, a processing element provided on the base plate, and an arm assembly pivotably coupled to the base plate. The arm assembly comprises a first arm and a second arm pivotally coupled to each other, each of the two arms being pivotally coupled to the base plate, whereby the first arm and the second arm form together a compound lever mechanism. A force applied by an operator onto the second arm increases as an output by the second arm, and the increasing force is conveyed to the first arm so that the food processing device is operated faster and easier, without making the operator more fatigued.

Abstract: A fluid dispenser is provided. The fluid dispenser (1) having a dispensing mechanism (9) for pumping fluid, such as cooking oil, from a storing compartment (2) into a metering compartment (3), and a reflux mechanism (10) for allowing the fluid pumped into the metering compartment (3) to flow back into the storing compartment (2), such that accurate metering of fluid can be achieved.
