Abstract: The present disclosure provides for protective drainage wraps having improved properties, including fluid handling and structural integrity. The protective material barrier constructions, such as wraps, provide protection to surfaces, such as walls of buildings. The present disclosure provides for methods of making, using, and installing such protective material barrier constructions.

Abstract: A duct that, in cross section, has one or more rounded portions is disclosed together with a method and a machine for producing it. The duct can be made from rigid foam panels with a facing on at east one side of the panels. A crimping element is used to form several substantially parallel indentations or crimps on a faced side of a panel, without breaching the facing, so that the crimped panel can be manipulated to form a section of duct with the crimps extending longitudinally. Depending on the number of crimps, the duct will appear more or less round in cross section although the crimped foam panels can be manipulated to have cross sections of different shapes such as oval. Adjacent duct sections may be joined, for example, with tape or bands, several of which are described.
Abstract: A protective drainage wrap comprises a cross-woven material portion, cross-laminate material portion or mesh material portion in first and second directions and a breathable solid layer portion. The material in the first and second directions comprises a polyolefin, polyester, nylon or combinations thereof. The first direction being roughly perpendicular to the second direction. The cross-woven, cross-laminate or mesh material portions being adapted to facilitate a drainage path. The breathable solid layer portion is attached to the cross-woven material portion, cross-laminate material portion or mesh material portion. The breathable solid layer portion is adapted to allow water vapor to flow therethrough.
