Patents Assigned to Kinugawa Rubber Industrial Co., Ltd.
  • Patent number: 4960375
Abstract: A die for a profile extrusion for partly varying the profile of articles during a molding operation is provided. The die comprises a stationary die assembly and movable die assembly slidable on a surface thereof. Each die assembly includes an outlet port for defining a part of products. The stationary die further includes an opening functioning as a third outlet port. The third outlet port may vary its opening shape according to the sliding of the movable die on a surface of the stationary die during an extrusion molding operation with the result that the width of a connecting portion between the parts formed by the outlet port of the movable and the stationary die is varied. It will be noted that an article may be produced which has variably sized portions.

  • Patent number: 4920699
Abstract: An improved structure of a weatherstrip member for sealing an end of a pane of window glass applicable to a vehicular door is disclosed wherein a bleed rubber material mixed with a lublicant is used in a pair of seal lips extended from tips of the pair of side wall portions to reduce sliding resistance of the seal lips against side surfaces of the pane of window glass pane, a thicker bottom portion (rib) is provided on a part of the bottom of the weatherstrip member so that when the end of the pane of window glass is inserted in an internal space defined by the weatherstrip member with an offset toward the vehicular outside portion from a center line of a door sash, the thicker portion and a thinner part of the bottom portion of the weatherstrip member on which the top surface of the end of the pane of window glass is touched are contacted with the bottom portion of the door sash.

  • Patent number: 4919471
Abstract: A weather strip for a sashless door for automotive vehicles comprises an extrusiion molded member retained by a roof rail and pillars of the vehicular body, having a pair of seal lip portions, the first lip thereof including a sub-concavity on its inner surface to maximize sealing performance, through which the extrusion molded member mates with the edge and the inner perimeter surface of the window in a water tight fashion, and end members provided on the outer side panel of the vehicular body at the lower ends of the extrusion molded member. An opening is provided on the end member for allowing water between the extrusion molded member and the door glass to flow along the extrusion molded member toward the end member, and into a fluid passage connected to the opening for exhausting the water outside of the vehicular cabin.

  • Patent number: 4848035
Abstract: A structure of a weatherstrip applicable to a door portion or a trunk lid and a vehicle body is disclosed in which one of grasping lips impinged on a flange portion of an opening edge of the vehicle body so as to grasp the flange portion and sub-lip integrally formed at an end edge of a weatherstrip main body so as to extend toward the outside portion of the vehicle body are seesawed with a linkage portion between the grasping lip and sub-lip as a fulcrum. When the weatherstrip main body is inserted onto the flange portion, a tip portion of the corresponding grasping lip is abutted with the outside surface of the flange portion and is easily pivoted toward the outside of the flange portion with the linkage portion as the fulcrum. When the tip portion of the grasping lip is pivoted toward the outside portion of the flange portion, its reaction force causes the sub-lip to pivot toward the internal direction so that its tip portion is impinged on the end surface of the vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 4448835
Abstract: Window weather stripping for sealing a gap between a movable glass and a window frame having less frictional sliding resistance and longer life time at relatively lower manufacturing cost. The window weather stripping according to the present invention comprises at least one microscopically rough surface on which the window glass slides, the rough surface being formed by applying a colloidal paint thereon. The colloidal paint is prepared by mixing a synthetic resin paint with a solvent the solubility of which is smaller than that of the synthetic resin or by mixing the colloidal paint obtained as described above with a non-colloidal paint. The synthetic resin is vinyl chloride, urethane-based resin, acryl-based resin, nylon-based resin, polyolefine chlorination-based resin, etc., and the poor solvent is isopropyl alcohol or methanol.

The window weather stripping according present invention comprises at least one microscopically rough surface on which the window glass slides, the rough surface being formed by first painting a bonding agent onto a surface and next spraying particles onto the painted bond or by simply applying a bonding agent mixed with particles. The diameter of the particles is from 5 to 500 micron and the hardness of the particles is from 2 to 7 on the Mohs scale. Talc, nylon, silica, graphite molybdenum, etc. are used as the particles.
