Abstract: A material sorting apparatus 100 for sorting materials in a material stream comprises: a material intake means 102 for receiving material that is input to the material sorting apparatus 100; at least one screening means 103 located downstream of the material intake means 102; at least one material separation means 104-106 located downstream of the material intake means 102; at least one conveyor means 107 for conveying material along a path within, around and/or proximal to the material sorting apparatus; and an elongate support means 101 adapted for supporting the material intake means 102, the at least one screening means 103, the at least one material separation means 104-106 and the at least one conveyor means 107.
