  • Patent number: 6966210
Abstract: A tool for flanging coated brake pipes has a basic body with a receiving groove and a clamping jaw with a clamping groove. The receiving groove and the clamping groove form a clamping channel, in which the brake pipe can be received snugly. To achieve the snug hold of the brake pipe without unacceptable deformations as well as the coaxial alignment of this brake pipe in relation to a pressure piece of the basic body, by which the flanged head is formed, different surfaces of the receiving groove and of the clamping groove are provided. Thus, the surfaces may be provided with a surface roughness with an arithmetic average peak-to-valley height Ra of 5.0 to 10.0.

  • Patent number: 6951049
Abstract: An extractor is provided for extracting a pin or another component which is pressed into a hole and protrudes from the hole with a cylindrical section. The extractor has a gripping element, which has a tubular basic body, is axially adjustable in a guide tube and is provided at its outer ends with at least two gripping jaws having conical outer jacket surfaces. With the gripping jaws the gripping element can be attached to the center pin or the cylindrical section. The basic body can be pulled axially into the guide tube, as a result of which the gripping jaws are pressed by conical jacket surfaces radially inwardly in cooperation with the guide tube, so that a snug hold of the gripping jaws at the cylindrical pin or the cylindrical section is brought about.

  • Patent number: 6862788
Abstract: A spring vice is provided with a tensioning device that can be axially introduced into a coil spring to be tensioned. A first disk-shaped pressure plate is provided with an opening and can be detachably connected to a first end of the tensioning device via its said opening. A second pressure plate is provided with an opening and can be detachably connected via its opening to an adjusting member of the tensioning device. The adjusting member is adjustable relative to the first end of the tensioning device. The tensioning device has a drive, especially in the form of a spindle drive, provided with a wrench profile accessible from the outside, at its second end, for adjusting the adjusting member. Each of the pressure plates has a circular tensioning surface which is limited toward the inside and the outside and is interrupted by a recess, for receiving a spring turn each of the coil spring to be tensioned.

  • Patent number: 6546610
Abstract: A device for removing a screw (63) or pin tightly seated in a mounting hole of a bearing eye (45) or the like, especially a pivot pin (49, 50) or axle components (45, 25, 26, 27) of a motor vehicle axle is provided. To attach the device to the bearing eye (45) in the area of the screw (63 ), a support body (1) with a lateral support wall (2) is provided, wherein the support body (1) has a pressing device acting on the screw (63). To reach extremely strong pressing forces to loosen and/or press out the screw (63) or the pin, the pressing device (85) has a guide cylinder (99), in which a stud (97) is guided axially displaceably in a guide hole (99). A screw-down nut (91), which is screwed onto the guide cylinder (86) and is provided with a pressing surface (95) acting on the stud (97), is provided for the axial displacement of the stud (97).

  • Patent number: 6415491
Abstract: The device (1) for replacing toothed belt pulleys (61) on motor vehicle engines (65) includes a pull-off disk (2), which is provided with at least two tie rods (7, 8, 9, 10). To pull off the toothed belt pulley (61), the tie rods (7, 8, 9, 10) can be engaged with at least two openings (57, 58, 59, 60) of the toothed belt pulley (61) in an axially firmly seated manner. The pull-off disk (2) is provided with a central threaded hole, into which a spindle drive, by which the toothed belt pulley (61) can be pulled off from its seating via of the pull-off disk (2) engaging the toothed belt pulley (61), can be inserted. To simplify handling as much as possible, a wrench can be attached to the fastening screw connection (66) of the toothed belt pulley (61) through the threaded hole.

  • Patent number: 5966788
Abstract: A spring vice (56) for tensioning coil springs, which have a spindle drive (59, 61), which has approximately wedge-shaped radial fingers (64, 65, 66) at one of its ends and a support cylinder (60) with a contact element at its other end. Two pressure plates (57, 58) with a passage opening (77, 87), through which the spindle drive (59, 61) can be passed, are used to tension a coil spring. In the mounted state, the radial fingers (64, 65, 66) of the spindle drive (59, 61) can be brought into a nonrotatable pulling connection with locking recesses (81, 82, 83) of the first pressure plate (57), while the second pressure plate (58) without locking recesses is supported axially at the contact element of the support cylinder (60) of the spindle drive (59, 61) for tensioning the coil spring. To increase the safety of operation, provisions are made for the contact element of the support cylinder to have support fingers (72, 73, 74), whose number corresponds to the number of the radial fingers (64, 65, 66).

  • Patent number: 5954314
Abstract: A spring vice (1) compression springs (31), comprising a spindle drive with a threaded spindle and two tensioning claws (2, 17) of an approximately fork-shaped design, wherein the tensioning claws (2, 17) can be moved toward each other by actuating the threaded spindle. To make it possible to apply strong tensioning forces for tensioning compression coil springs and to guarantee a simple exchangeability of the tensioning claws (2, 17) at the same time, the two tensioning claws (2, 17) are provided with a mounting cylinder (3, 16), which forms a kind of bayonet catch together with the spindle drive. This bayonet catch is optimally suitable for absorbing strong tensioning forces and permits a simple replacement of tensioning claws (2, 17) without problems.

  • Patent number: 5906034
Abstract: A pressing-out device (1) for pressing a joint pin out of a bearing eye, comprising a pressing lever (3) and a support lever (2), which are pivotably connected to one another. The distance between the pressing lever (3) and the support lever (2) is presettable via an adjusting member (5). To press out the joint pin, the support lever (2) is supported on the bearing eye, and the pressing lever (3) performs a relative pivoting movement in relation to the support lever (2), which pivoting movement is brought about by a pressing member (4), and it presses the joint pin out of the bearing eye. To press out joint pins and bearing eyes of different designs under different conditions of use, the adjusting member is formed by an adjusting spindle (5) with a joint pin (9) extending at right angles thereto, with which joint pin different support levers (2) can be optionally and interchangeably coupled with receiving elements of various designs for the bearing eye.
