Abstract: An apparatus and method for removing odor from animal deposits includes a container with an opening and with a germicidal emission device connected to the inside of the container such that no germicidal emissions are directed at the opening. A power source is connected to the germicidal emission device. A motion detector is connected inside the contained such that the motion detector detects motion through the opening outside of the container and further where the motion detector is connected to the power source and to the germicidal emission device such that the motion detector turns on the germicidal emission device when no motion is detected inside or outside of the container.
