Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for the generation of plants, such as Euphorbia pulcherrima, having a dysfunctional glutathione S-transferase (GST), and the seeds, plant parts or plant cells derived therefrom. The disclosure further relates to a molecular marker capable of identifying a dysfunctional GST gene, to isolated DNA encoding such a dysfunctional GST gene and to the use of such DNA for the preparation of a molecular marker and for use in methods of targeted mutagenesis to inactivate the GST gene to generate plants with a white foliage phenotype.

Abstract: A Petunia plant designated KLEPH20580 is disclosed. Embodiments include seeds of Petunia KLEPH20580, plants of Petunia KLEPH20580, to plant parts of Petunia KLEPH20580, and methods for producing a plant by crossing Petunia KLEPH20580 with itself or with another variety. Embodiments also relate to Petunia varieties, breeding varieties, plant parts, and cells derived from Petunia KLEPH20580, methods for producing other Petunia lines or plant parts derived from Petunia KLEPH20580, and the Petunia plants, varieties, and their parts derived from use of those methods. Embodiments further include hybrid Petunia seeds, plants, and plant parts produced by crossing Petunia KLEPH20580 with another Petunia variety or another plant type.
Abstract: Petunia plants comprising spotted flower color patterns are disclosed. Petunia plants comprising spotted flower color patterns in combination with other flower patterns are also disclosed. Also disclosed are methods of breeding with the Petunia plants having the novel spotted flower color pattern to provide new, distinct and stable Petunia plants having flowers with a spotted flower color pattern.
