Patents Assigned to KLINIKUM DER UNIVERSITAT MUNCHEN
  • Patent number: 11278609
Abstract: Medicament for the treatment or the prevention of a bacterial infection, characterized in that it contains at least one polypeptide selected from the group of SEQ ID NO: 1 to SEQ ID NO: 9, and contiguous fragments thereof, wherein said at least one polypeptide or contiguous fragment thereof induces opsonic antibodies in a patient in need thereof. The polypeptides or the contiguous fragments thereof according to the present invention can be used for the preparation of a vaccine against an infection against Enterococcus.

  • Patent number: 11077205
Abstract: The invention concerns a synthetic compound for enabling transfection of eukaryotic cells by means of an amphiphilic block copolymer which synthetic compound comprises a peptide residue having at least one targeting sequence and a nucleic acid binding sequence which nucleic acid binding sequence comprises or consists of at least four consecutive amino acid residues which are positively charged at pH 7.4, wherein the targeting sequence is any sequence that causes a direction of the sequence to a position or a structure inside or on the surface of eukaryotic cells, characterized in that the synthetic compound further comprises a hydrophobic moiety covalently linked to the peptide residue, wherein the hydrophobic moiety comprises or consists of lipoic acid residue, lipoamide residue, a tetradecyl residue, a cholesteryl residue, or a further peptide residue having a sequence with more than 40% amino acid residues with hydrophobic side chains.

  • Publication number: 20140064587
Abstract: A method is disclosed for detecting damage to silicone implants. In an embodiment, the method includes taking at least two computed tomography recordings at different X-ray spectra or different mono-energies of the X-ray radiation and reconstruction thereof. A data point is determined in a diagram for each voxel of interest, the X-ray attenuation values for different X-ray energies being plotted against one another; The data point, or another value for each voxel of interest determined from the X-ray attenuation values, is compared to known data points or values of body tissue and/or of silicone, and a note or warning is output if the data point or other value deviates from the known data points or values for body tissue by at least a first threshold value and/or in the event of simultaneous approximation to the known data point or value for silicone by less than a second threshold value.
