Patents Assigned to Klockner Hansel GmbH
  • Patent number: 6357623
Abstract: A stack of folded cardboard boxes (5, 6) is arranged in a magazine (1). Each folded cardboard box (5, 6) has a plane of main extension (7) and two parallel side edges (9, 10). The folded cardboard boxes (5, 6) arrive in the stack in a direction substantially perpendicular to the plane of main extension (7). The two parallel side edges (9, 10) of the first folded cardboard box (5) in the stack are first contacted and supported by a first stop (11) and by a second stop (12). The first folded cardboard box (5) is then conveyed in the direction toward the second stop (12) within the plane of main extension (7) until it enters an opening (18) being located in the region of the second stop (12) and it gets totally free from contact to the first stop (11) to be exclusively supported by the opening (18) and by the second stop (12).

  • Patent number: 5636722
Abstract: A store for work products conveyed along a storage line from an input station to an output station is disclosed. The input station and the output station of the store are constructed and arranged to be operated independently of the other. The store also has a plurality of gondolas, each gondola having a plurality of carrier plates for carrying work products thereon. A first generally circular and continuous conveyor at the input station lifts the gondolas off of the storage line, moves the gondolas through the input station for the placement of work products thereon, and then places the gondolas back onto the storage line for travel to the output station. At the output station a second generally circular and continuous output conveyor lifts the gondolas off of the storage line, moves the gondolas through the output station so that the work products may be removed therefrom, and then places the gondolas back onto the storage line.

  • Patent number: 5511363
Abstract: A vertical cyclically working flat sack machine (1) serves to package flowable or pourable materials or objects in flat sacks to be sealed, which are formed from two foils (6, 7) with a common vertical foil plane (9). On a machine frame (2) a measurer (3) with filling means (5), a deflector (8) for the two foils (6, 7), a sealer (15), a discharge device (29), and a longitudinal and transverse cutter (30, 31) are provided from top to bottom. The sealer (15) has two symmetrically fashioned units (16, 17), each comprising a pivot spar (18, 18'), a sealer spar support (20, 20'), a sealer spar (21, 21') with a sealer drive (34), a heating plate (23, 23'), a clamping plate (24, 24') and the sealing tools (25, 25', 26, 26') mounted thereupon. The units (16, 17) each are pivotable from a position running parallel to the foil plane (9), especially separated by the length of a sealing lift, about a pivot axis (19, 19') by approximately 90.degree. into a fitting and cleaning position.

  • Patent number: 5348436
Abstract: A store (1) for individual products (10) has an input station (2) and an output station (3) which can be actuated independently of each other. A storage line (8) with a variable receiving capacity is provided as well as carrier plates (11) for receiving the individual products. The carrier plates (11) can move freely within the store (1). A first input elevator (4) is provided in the area of the input station (2) and an output elevator (5) in the area of the output station (3) for building or working through full stacks (26) of carrier plates (11). The storage line (8) between the elevators (4, 5) is designed for the joint conveying of the full stack (26) congested in front of the output elevator (5) allocated to the output station (3).A transfer belt (6) and a return conveyor for full stacks (26) is located between each elevator and the storage line (8). Separate drives are provided for the elevators (4, 5), the transfer conveyor (6), the return conveyor and the storage path (8).

  • Patent number: 5330331
Abstract: A metering pump for highly viscous fillings has a crankshaft-type drive for a back-and-forth movement of a piston (1) in a cylinder (2) and a drive for a forward-and-backward rotational movement of a rotary slide valve (4) derived from this. The rotary slide valve (4) has openings and the housing of said rotary slide valve has connections for a suction line (7) and a discharge line (8) for the piston/cylinder unit (1, 2). A plate cam, coupling assembly (14) and clamping lever (25) engaging with the turntable (4) are provided for the rotational movement of the rotary slide valve (4). The coupling assembly (14) has a pivoted lever (20) having an articulated joint (21) formed on one end which in turn is formed on a bearing block (19), arranged locally fixed and slideable. An adjusting drive (30) for altering the position of the bearing block (19) is provided independent from the crankshaft-type drive.

  • Patent number: 5307692
Abstract: A workstation at a packaging machine with a tool having an upper part (2) and a lower part (3) whereby at least one of said parts (3) is driven with a stroke-type movement and a compressive force is exerted via said tool onto a workpiece (4) in the working position, and said tool has a spring arrangement (26), the prestress and deflection path of which can be adjusted. A device (25) for measuring the compressive force on the workpiece (4) in the working position is provided and so located in the area of the upper and/or lower part (2 and/or 3) of the tool that it is loaded by the compressive force in the working position.

  • Patent number: 5298266
Abstract: A process and apparatus to subject a pumpable mass of candy stock to heat, by conveying the candy stock to be heated through a heating coil (7) of a steam heated heat exchange (6). A fluid medium is added to the candy stock upon entry into the heat exchange (6) and as the candy stock leaves the heat exchanger it is guided into a receiving tank (13) which allows the medium to escape the candy stock. The medium to be added to the candy stock is steam, such that by the condensation of the steam the temperature of the candy stock is raised at least into the vicinity of its boiling point, preferably above its boiling point.
