Patents Assigned to Klockner-Moeller GmbH
  • Patent number: 5298724
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the coding and the availability of a chip card, which is provided as memory storage in a programmable control system. During the initial operation of a chip card with a control system a coding process is performed. The coding process specifies the chip card to the control system and encodes the chip card. The chip card can only be copied after the coding process. However, the copy can only be used in the control system on which the original or master chip card was coded. In the event of a defect in the system hardware, a chip card may be used in a second control system so that the total system installation remains available. The second control system remains functionally operable with a chip card for a time-limited period if the code of the chip card does not coincide with the code of the control system.

  • Patent number: 5222910
Abstract: An apparatus for electrical connection which has good contact characteristics, consists of simple parts, is easy to assemble and install, and is also suitable for the electrical connection to C-shaped bus bars or bus bars with slot shaped tap zones, which bus bars are preferably in withdrawable unit distribution boards or panels. The apparatus preferably has a mounting element, elastic contact elements, and a plug element. The plug element preferably has a plug shell, a contact strip, and contact laminar strips, which contact laminar strips are embedded in window like openings of the plug shell and act as elastic current bridges between the bus bar or socket element and the contact strip carrying the current located within the connection apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5176529
Abstract: A device is disclosed for connecting control current lines in low voltage switchboard plants. The device should allow the control current in a plug-in distribution board to be easily maintained up to a test position of the rack and to be cut beyond this position when the rack is drawn out. The device has two multipoint plugs with plugs and sockets, of which the first is rigidly linked to the rack and the other is movably mounted over a limited path on two guiding pins, the terminal cross-section of which is enlarged. In the test position they are locked in by elastic elements, ensuring complete contact between both multipoint plugs in this position when the rack is inserted. A plurality of control lines can be easily cabled with little attrition in a reduced space within a plug-in distribution board and a test position can be reached by drawing out the rack.
