Patents Assigned to Kloeckner-Werke AG
  • Patent number: 4360310
Abstract: An arrangement for positioning a device for closing and opening a pressure vessel, has a positioning vehicle arranged to carry the device, and a positioning track attachable to the pressure vessel and extending from just above the floor under the pressure vessel to the pressure vessel so that the positioning track guides the positioning vehicle when the latter is displaced from the floor to the pressure vessel to close the latter, and from the pressure vessel back to the floor to open the pressure vessel.

  • Patent number: 4340303
Abstract: An arrangement of the Rowland character includes a support and a concave grating on the support for producing the spectrum characteristic of a sample being investigated. The support has a series of slits thereon which are positioned on the Rowland circle and are adjusted to the spectral lines of samples to be investigated. An element on the support is provided with a primary slit for directing the radiation derived from a sample being investigated onto the concave grating. The primary slit is positioned on the Rowland circle and the element provided with the primary slit is mounted on the support for movement along the arc of the Rowland circle. The element is mounted in such a manner as to be arrestable in a plurality of positions. The element is favorably in the form of a plate.

  • Patent number: 4332317
Abstract: A double-chain conveyor is assembled of trough sections defining a bottom plate provided with lateral guiding walls for scraper elements and intermediate guides extending along the entire length of the conveyor and guidingly engaging lateral edges of flat chain elements arranged parallel to the bottom plate of the trough. The flat chain elements are provided with oblong holes extending in the direction of the chain and linking vertically directed ring-shaped chain elements with a play which permits shifting movements of all chain elements in the longitudinal direction. Intermediate drives are provided between superposed bottom plates of the trough and drive a chain wheel engaging the flat chain elements both in the upper and in the lower flight of the conveying chain.

  • Patent number: 4245243
Abstract: A reference package or packages comprised of an orderly group of properly filled compartments is moved into a testing station, where its image is picked up by a television camera. The picture signal produced by the camera is digitalized and stored in a circulating memory for repeated read-out. Thereafter, successively, a package or packages comprised of compartments to be examined, and exhibiting the same orderly arrangement as the properly filled compartments, are moved into the testing station. The picture signal produced by the camera during pick-up of the successive images is synchronously compared with reconstituted analog picture information read out from the memory. Discrepancies in the compared information result in error signals used to produce discard signals. Groups of packages, arranged in rows extending transverse and parallel to the scan lines of the camera tube, can be tested.

  • Patent number: 4140550
Abstract: A compound steel material of high corrosion resistance is manufactured by alloying a carrier material of deep-drawing grade with a carbide and nitride forming substance, compounding the alloyed carrier material with a chromium steel material of normal carbon content, followed by annealing the compound steel material at a temperature and for a time period sufficient for the carbon content of the ferritic chromium steel coating layer to be reduced to between 0.001 and 0.003% so as to increase the corrosion resistace of the chromium steel material to that of a superferritic material. Prior to annealing, the compound steel material may be rolled to a fine sheet. The carrier material used in the method of the invention is a deep-drawing steel of at most 0.12% of carbon, while the ferritic chromium steel material has at most 0.1% of carbon prior to the annealing. The carbide and nitride forming substance may be titanium whose content in the alloyed carrier material is preferably between 0.5 and 2%.
