Patents Assigned to KMA Concepts Limited
  • Patent number: 9151566
Abstract: A toy bow assembly that is used to launch toy projectiles. The toy bow assembly includes a bow structure having a first arm section and a second arm section. Both the first arm section and the second arm section have sheathed areas that are protected from ambient light. A central area is disposed between the first arm section and the second arm section. A first elastic element extends through the first sheathed area into the central area, wherein the first sheathed area shields the first elastic element from exposure to ambient light. Likewise, a second elastic element extends through the second sheathed area and into the central area, wherein the second sheathed area shields the second elastic element from exposure to ambient light.

  • Patent number: 9097483
Abstract: A toy launcher and safety projectile combination, wherein the launcher only launches a safety projectile. The slingshot has a body with a first arm and a second arm that contain spring-loaded joints. A first elastomeric element extends laterally from the first arm. Likewise, a second elastomeric element extends laterally from the second arm. A safely projectile is provided. The safety projectile has a first slotted channel that is accessible through a first open end and a second slotted channel that is accessible through a second open end. The safety projectile temporarily attaches to the first elastomeric element and the second elastomeric element during launching by having the first slotted channel receive the first free end of the first elastomeric element and having the second slotted channel receive the second free end of the second elastomeric element. The safety projectile is then pulled back and released.

  • Patent number: 8991373
Abstract: A toy projectile launcher assembly has the form of a crossbow. The crossbow only launches the safety projectiles that are provided. The launcher body has a handle at a first end and diverging support arms at an opposite second end. An adjustment mechanism is contained within the launcher body for selectively adjusting the length of the launcher body. The crossbow has diverging support arms. Bow arms are attached to the support arms. The bow arms pivot from retracted positions to extended positions when a projectile is loaded into the toy crossbow. The toy crossbow has elastic loops that can only engage specialized safety projectiles with side. Furthermore, the trigger mechanism can only engage the safety projectiles provided with the toy. Projectiles without a specific tab and keyhole cannot be loaded into the toy crossbow.

  • Patent number: 8702468
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a toy assembly and the resulting toy assembly. A polymer body is molded from a high-bounce material. In a second injection molding process, an elastomeric gel material is molded through an opening in the body. A tube structure is provided having an interior conduit. At least one post is positioned within the tube structure. A toy body is molded around the exterior surface of the tube structure. A form of elastomeric gel material is molded through the interior conduit of the tube structure and around each post. This anchors the molded form of elastomeric gel material within the body of the toy. The form of elastomeric gel material extends from the ends of the tube structure to create the appendages.

  • Patent number: 8689773
Abstract: A toy projectile launching system that launches a toy projectile. The launcher has a handle. The handle is offset between two supports. A first arm element is coupled to the first support. A first elastic loop is anchored to the first arm element. The first elastic loop has a looped section that extends into an open area. A second arm element is coupled to the second support. A second elastic loop is anchored to the second arm element. The second elastic loop has a looped section that extends into the open area. The looped sections of the first elastic loop and the second elastic loop are spaced to receive and engage opposing hook elements on the toy projectile when the toy projectile is manually drawn through the open area.

  • Patent number: 8662060
Abstract: A toy bow assembly used to launch toy projectiles. The toy bow assembly has a rigid bow structure. The bow structure has a first arm section, a second arm section, and a central region. Two separate and distinct elastic elements are provided to launch a projectile. The first elastic element is anchored to the first arm section of the bow structure. A second elastic element is anchored to the second arm section. Both of the elastic elements terminate with loop structures that extend into the central region between the first and second arm sections. A toy projectile is provided that has extending hooks. The hooks on the projectile engage the loop structures of the elastic elements. When the projectile is drawn back, the elastic elements stretch and provide the spring energy needed to launch the projectile into flight when it is released.

  • Patent number: 8517004
Abstract: A toy system for launching a soft dart projectile. The dart projectile has a flexible shaft. A pneumatic launcher is used to launch the dart projectile. The pneumatic launcher contains an air pulse generating system that displaces air through a flexible barrel. The flexible barrel defines an internal conduit that extends between a first end and a second end. The second end of the flexible barrel is sized to receive the shaft of the dart projectile. The flexible barrel is fabricated from a flexible closed-cell foam that enables said flexible barrel to bend at least ninety degrees without blocking airflow through its internal conduit. As a result, the toy pneumatic launcher can be directed in a first direction, while the barrel is bent to fire in a second direction. The flexible barrel has features that prevent the dart projectile from binding in the barrel when the barrel is bent.
